I was at my local HD dealer on Sat and tried to buy a set of spark plugs. I was told that my bike takes 6R12 plugs and when I asked for 10R12's I was told they were obsolete. It was the usual hassle with the HD dealer, "you are wrong, there is no such thing as a 10R12, you did not buy it here, (I did and it was listed), why run these plugs, since the dawn of recorded time no sportster motor has ever run this plug, there is something wrong with your bike, Buell never recommended the 10R12, you are wrong, you are stupid, you are uninformed, you are a waste of human genetics" etc. Maybe it's my paranoid side but getting treated like this almost EVERY time I go to Brian's HD in Langhorne is really getting tired. The only person that helps at all is Shawn and god bless him he rides a Yamaha R1. So, is the 10R12 plug discontinued? Has it been replaced? Don't the new Buells also run this plug? I even pulled out the old box from the last purchase of these plugs six months ago complete with HD labels and was told it was wrong, that part has been obsolete since 2002 and not sold by Brian's since then. Even though my customer profile said I bought them 6 months ago. Ok, so what's the story with Buell plugs? Thanks, Den |

The last time I went to the dealer for 10R12 plugs, they told me they don't sell them and they had no interest in ordering them for me. Bye bye Harley plugs. Never had a problem with them, but I'll never use them again. |

Thanks Tripp, did you know that your last reply is your 666th post, the proverbial devil's post? Oooooohhhhhh scary, nearly as scary as allowing the above mentioned dealer to work on my bike. Thanks for the bulletin, I have half a mind to print it out and make sure to give it to the service manager for subordinate signatures. |
