We ended up not going to Biketober, couldn't justify spending the $20 a head for a couple hours. I'm going to BHD/B this weekend if anyone wants to meet up with me. I'm going to pick up a new airbox and order my leathers. |

hey skeeter. i want to ride this weekend. more likely sunday than saturday (but hopefully both). this summer i got routed thru clay city as a detour off 46. you must have a lot of other cool roads over in your area. you need to lead a tour for us. |

Chad, I've had several rides on the City-X seat and like it much better than the stock seat. I miss the pocket a little, but I can slide side to side very easily for "spirited" cornering. Guys, I found some really choice road last Saturday. Hwy 48 between Napoleon and Lawrenceburg. More curves than a Playboy centerfold, and EXCELLENT road surface! As a note, Napoleon is south of Greensburg on Hwy 421.

I'm ready to ride. Like I said I have some business to conduct down there, but after that I'm riding. I want to get there early this time, like 10 or 11. My business might take a while, as I plan on getting up close and personal with a motorclothes girl getting sized for my leather. |

If you are close to Lawrenceburg, there is a killer short road, I think it is called Goose Run. It is short and narrow, maybe 5 miles long, but it is NOT to be missed. I recall Union Ridge, then Goose Run... but it has been a couple years since I ran them. Then head up to Rabbit Hash (directly across the river from Aurora?, though you are a ways from a bridge). Give me a shout first and I can try and meet you there. It's an experience. |

Reepicheep, the friend I got my XB9S from, grew up in Rabbit Hash! I live in Columbus, so am about 1 1/2 hrs away (traffic dependent). If I can get away for another ride that way, I'll ping ya.

Excellent. Grew up in Rabbit Hash huh? Which of the two houses? It's really weird to go there, you are out in the middle of absolutely freaking nowhere (a pretty nowhwere, but nowhere nonetheless) and all of a sudden you come around a corner to a pile of anywhere from 10 to 100 motorcycles. (and I am in Lebanon, so I am right on your way over... had a nice ride from pickerington to hocking hills last weekend) (Message edited by reepicheep on October 06, 2005) |

Reepi, where is Leb. relative to Rabbit Hash? I usually take back roads from Columbus to Greensburg, then head down 421 to 48 east. Then either follow 48 into Lawrenceburg, or cut off at 148 to Aurora. What's the main gathering point at Rabbit Hash? Eatery, bar, post office?

Pete, maybe we could get a group together and take a ride to Rabbit Hash towards the end of the month. We could hook up with Reepicheep. (Message edited by cyclonemaniac on October 06, 2005) (Message edited by cyclonemaniac on October 06, 2005) |

Indy, Will you have your cell on you on Saturday? I may be able to catch up to you. (I'll have to give up the plan of replacing the muffler, though.) |

Don't forget guys, the next BRAG meeting is Saturday, Oct 15th. For those of us coming from the Indy area, lets plan on meeting at SSHD/B at 10 AM. Right now the forcast says it will be sunny and 70, so lets hope that holds. |

Hey Guys I have some bad news. This past Saturday I was involved in a motorcycle accident. A guy in a car pulled out in front of me. My bike is pretty much totaled. I was wearing all my protective gear so I didn't have anything broken. I do have some soft tissue damage in my right knee. I'm hoping to make it the BRAG meeting on the 15th. Talk to you guys later. |

Kyle, I'm sure glad you are ok. Keep some ice on that knee! I'll be looking forward to hearing more about it on Saturday. I hope you get a good claims adjuster. Let us know if we can help! |

Kyle, sorry to hear about your bike and really glad you're not hurt any worse! I know it's not much comfort, but at least it happened now instead of in May or June.

Speaking of new recruits, I think it might be prudent to have some Hoosier Thunder Club cards made up with some basic contact info. I was sitting in traffic the other day when a guy on an XB12R pulled up in the next lane. I tried talking to him about our club, but the light changed and we had to move along. If I had a card, I could have handed him one. I know each member could print their own, I just thought a standardized version might be better. We could even develop a club format for the card and put it on a floppy and let whomever wants cards, copy the format and fill in any extra info they want.
