All recalls have been done (exhaust mount and shock – the new Showa, not the SRP shock) and the rocker box and primary gaskets have been updated to the new metal ones. It has a brand new front brake rotor and pads. Brand new rear brake rotor as well. Tail section (the black undertail) has been trimmed and flush mount turn signals added. We’re the second owners but I did all the maintenance for the first owner who absolutely babied the bike (which is why we bought it in the first place). It’s been running Syn 3 since about 2000 miles and runs like a top. The bike has no mechanical issues what so ever and only the typical cosmetic scuffs you’d expect of a 2000 MY bike that’s never been down. Other than that, there are a few different options as to how the bike can be sold. First off, it has the Banke peg relocators (not the full rearsets) including the shift lever (American Sport Bike #5654 and #5777) and billet footpegs (American Sport Bike #16066). The shifter setup dramatically improves shifting. The shift lever, pegs and stock brake lever are a bit beveled from cornering the bike, although the bike has never been down (just corners very nicely). Please don’t let that spook you, though, there’s a big difference between carrying corner speed and beating on a bike and this bike has not been beaten on. We could leave that setup on or return it all to stock. It has a D&D slip-on exhaust (quite loud, but I love the sound), race ignition, K&N air filter and built carb (done by someone very much in the know about what to do). We could leave that stuff on or return it to stock as well (although the K&N would stay either way). The bike could come with or without the Buell tank bag and with or without the steering damper (although I’d honestly recommend with). It has slotted PM wheels with brand new Dunlop D205s on them. As for the price, KBB puts the value between $3295 (trade-in) and $4785 (retail). I’ve always figured averaging the two is a reasonable private party value for the stock bike (especially considering the brand new rubber and low miles). That would put us at $4040 so I’d say an even $4000. The retail price of the add ons are: Banke peg relocators - $160 Banke shifter - $257 These have to go together – if you want them, it’d be $200 onto the “base” price (I’ll also send the stock setup) Buell tank bag – Can’t find the exact, but I think it’s around $90 If you want it, it’d be $40 onto the “base” price Steering stabilizer – $300 If you want it, it’d be $150 onto the “base” price D&D, carb and race ignition - $346 Carb - $100 Race Ignition - $115 These also have to go together – if you want them, it’d be $250 onto the “base” price Basically I’ve cut all the retail prices in half (actually more than that in some cases). So as it sits right now it would be $4,640 plus shipping. Returned to stock, it’d be $4,000 plus shipping. I also have a service manual and parts manual (although those are for ’97-’98 models) which would be included in any deal. Please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking! looks very nice.... I'm interetsed in carving out 1 subset [so please keep me in mind as any sale progresses]: D&D, carb and race ignition - $346 Carb - $100 (what I paid to have it built) Race Ignition - $115 These also have to go together – if you want them, it’d be $250 onto the “base” price Actually, I'm only after the carb & ignition, so whatever ya wanna do is OK - just lemme know. What exactly is the carb? Howz it set up? Thanx, Curt |

BTW, if any moderators are bored, please feel free to change the title of this thread from "Motlen" to "Molten." Also, for anyone interested, the bike runs better than I can spell. |

Your profile says your track bike is a 2000 M2. Is this your track bike? M |

Milar, the bike is actually mine. My husband has used it two or three times at the track and that's it. As he said up above, it has never been beaten on--and I can attest as I have been at the these track days saying "be nice to my bike" We're selling it because I recently bought an XB9S |

Jason, Is there any way we could arrange transportation of the bike? I live in Va. and just can't swing the ride all the way to WI. Please email me your number and I'll give you a call to discuss the bike. Thanks Jackie |

DailyDirect has a dock in Butler just north of Milwaukee, usually costs around $500-$700 to ship with them. http://www.haulbikes.com/ |
