At last it seems that progress is being made, and parts are now going back onto the bike The rear section is now complete and the XB12SS seat/undertray fitted. If you are considering doing this conversion do yourself a favour and buy the battery tray and seat latch mounting for the SS as well. I ended up making our own which was a apin in the A**. Just waiting fore the new carbon fibre to arrive and a couple of last minute pieces to paint and all the body can go away to the painters.... (Message edited by trojan on September 30, 2005) |

what you doing with all the old uly pieces??? I'll be keeping them so I can swap back to 'touring' mode in future if the fancy takes me. I've done bikes in the past and regretted selling off the stock parts, so this time they are going into a box in the attic |

We now have the Micron exhaust fitted, along with the custom made bash plate. Exhaust fitment was a simple job, although some judicious trimming with an angle grinder was required on the lower belt guard inner (and will also be required on the outer when the carbon piece arrives. The belt looks closer to the pipe in the photo than it actually is by the way! Bash plate is tig welded 3mm aluminium plate, and will fit with the chin spoiler re-fitted or without (shown with chin spoiler mounting brackets attached). It is available to order from us now, to fit the Micron pipe only at present. There is a right side air scoop to fit yet, and this will also need some re-shaping to clear the front Micron header pipe, which is higher than the stock header.
