Which one Tramp? I loved my tuber, it will always have a special place in my heart. Here is another *really* revealing excercise. Take an XB into an empty parking lot, and do a slalom between the tips of the parking lines (what, 8 feet apart?). You can drag you knuckles if you want to feel like you are back on your snowboard I did it on the M2 while I had it and it was fun. I did it again on the 9sx and just kept cranking the speed up higher and higher with no signs of hitting the bikes limits. I have no idea how fast I was going, but I would not be suprised if it was not 15 mph faster then the M2. That, and hard braking to fully cranked turn transitions were really eye opening to me about what the XB platform is capable of doing, even with a big fat fellow such as myself up top. |

We could have still hit those turns a bit faster and then you wouldnt have given it back. Maybe next time when there arent any retards in the middle of the road... When is Mort buying one? He was still grinning ear to ear when he left.. |

I ran Bilansky's ex-Hal's S-1 Thunderbike (now owned by a friend of mine) on the AMA track at Fontana and I also race an XB. There's just NO comparison in handling quality. Sure, the tubers (potato, potato) might look cool if you're going for image over substance... but if you ever want to ride them hard in the turns, you're just going to have to work your a** off on the tuber - takes much more muscle. |
