Do most Nines power wheelie in first gear after the standard mods? I've got the complete Buell race kit, removed snorkel, open airbox kit,and re-routed breathers. It power wheelies in first now with no bouncing the fork...I was pleasantly surprised! |

Well, mine never would wheelie stock by simply rolling on the throttle quickly no matter how high the rpms...it will now. |

Mine won't makes me wonder if somethings not up to standard. I always have to clutch it to get the front wheel off the ground. If I hit it hard in first the front tire just kind of lifts/skips off the ground wouldn't call it a wheelie.

When I first got my 04 9S (3000 miles on it) I wanted to find out, for, uhhhh, safety purposes, just how easy it was to wheelie. I found out then if I ran it up to about 4000 rpm in low gear, let off, then hit it again, it would scare the bejeezus out of me. Since then found out it will do about the same thing without first letting off. Will easily clutch up in 2nd gear. This was a stock bike. Be careful, Bill |

I rode a stock demo XB9S a couple years ago and it wheelied pretty easily off the throttle in first. It would loft the front end pretty easily on the shift to 2nd too. |

The first time I brought the front end up on the 1-2 shift was completely by accident on a highway entrance ramp. That was good for some helmet giggles. |

My 9s wheelies real easy, race kit with jardine and 12 lid. It also shoots up when shifting to second and third. first gear is almost too short and torquey to play around with I like second and third much better. I just clutch them in the higher gears |

Is anyone doing this with an XB9SX? I have never even felt like it is going to wheelie? I recently installed the Race ECM, Drummer, and K&N and it still doesn't seem like it wants to. I've only been riding for about a year now, so maybe I am not heavy on the throttle. What are you folks doing to get it to come up so easily? |

Pa - My 03 XB9S set up just like yours would wheelie at any RPM in first from 1100 to the rev limit. Under 2000 RPM you have to stand up and tug on the bars like a dirt bike, over that just level off the RPM then punch it and hang on. |

After installing the race kit and some other mods I was able to pull the front end up a lot easier shifting hard into second. I can also dump the clutch little while riding in second and pull it up easier. Now if I can just get it to go up in third. |
