Hey folks new owner here. want to know, can i fit the S1 tail to my S3?how bout the tail that R+R tail conversion for the M2. will S1 body work bolt on ? any help would be great thanx } | ||

Dave sorry but it will not fit without extensive mods to your rear sub-frame.BTW where are you at Wi. cause we may be close?? | ||

Dave.... Kinda what Dana said. If you have some good welding skills, you may be able to do the work yourself. There's a fellow badweb guy (Spiderman) that did the work on his M2. Dana had a fabricator chop up this M2 about 3-4 years ago. As for the rest of the bike...the tank doesn't need to be swapped out. The S1 front gauge and fairing are not a direct swap. You'll need to get all new parts (except for the actuall tach & speedo). Some things to keep in mind...1) the S3 uses different wiring plugs for the headlight; 2) the gauges on any Buell after 1998 are smaller (can't use an X1 dash). I made an S3/X1 style conversion on one of my bikes a few years ago. I've since built an S1W using my S3T motor and a rolling chassis (the guy used the motor for a chopper). Hey folks thanxs for the help. I'm up here in Webster just north of Siren, see a guy on a XB all the time, don't know him though. I just bought the S3 last week at St Paul Harley, silver with pm wheels 7200 miles for $4000, plus i got 2 new pocket T's, a full tank of gas, extra keys ,a manual,and a cool nylon harley sack to put my spoils in, good folks there. My best freind works at Kokesh Motorcycles in Spring Lake Park MN, their service manager runs a buell drag bike and has a ton of extra stuff from bike he's chopped up, so anthing is possible! This is my first sport bike, wow real different from my old shovel head FL chopper, plus have not rode in 10 years so kinda gotta learn all over again. Have to admit was thinking about the chopper route my self, kinda why i bought it. But now i'm not sure, think i'll ride it for awhile and decide,love the reaction i get from my chopper buds, "nice rocket" yea lets run em, then they shut up. But i am kinda a chopper guy at heart, But i could go and make a really mean street/drag bike and really screw with them chopper dudes. Oh BTW were you folks at in WI?
