Hello everybody... got a question. My fiancee would love to come on this ride with us but we are both leary of having her ride with me. So would any of the Crusier riders be willing to take on a passenger? If so please e-mail us! We would help pay for gas and be very appreciative! Thanks! |

TRAGEDY... I've been noticing a glitch in the SX over the course of the last two weeks, but it was intermittent so I didn't worry about it. The bike would stumble occasionally and I couldn't pinpoint the RPM range at which this was happening. At first I thought, it must be predetonation/ping. Then I suspected it was bad fuel, but it happened on more than one tank of gas. My guess now is that it might be a failed O2 sensor, which should be covered under warranty and isn't terribly expensive anyway. On my way to the dealership for a meeting last night, the bike starts to sputter and almost died on I-10. I exited and turned the bike off thinking that it was overheating. I let the fan run it's course before starting it up again. About two blocks later it started doing it again. No check engine light comes on so I don't really have a clue as to what it might be. To make a long depressing story short, the bike is sitting at CHD/B waiting for a diagnostic test to determine the cause of the problem. I'm optimistic that I will have it back in good tune by Saturday's ride to the Lemmon and am keeping my fingers crossed. |

Check into the head temp sensor. Sounds exactly like what mine did on the Torquefest ride. Replaced, now flawless... |

I'm down with an over flowing float. Some one was honking and pointing at me at a red light so I looked down and saw fluid below the oil filter. Pulled over and it was the float overflow hose pouring gas right on the exhaust. Good thing I just got started and it was not red hot yet. I'll reroute the hose after pulling the carb this weekend. Hope I'll be up for the next ride. |

Hey all, Been awhile since I checked in! Just wanted to thank Mouse for stopping by the pits this past weekend at Firebird East CCS racing. Good to see a few Buellers out and about! The XB is holding it's own in Thunderbike, with several 2nd's and 3rds- presently sitting 3rd in points for the class. Not bad against the SV's and the Buell contingency checks sure help out with the expenses. Next race- Nov 20th at Firebird West! |

You could use a multi meter to check the resistance through the coil and the wire to see if you might be losing some spark power somewhere. Coils heat up pretty quickly and heat is their enemy. The summer heat down there would take a toll for sure. Especially if you started out with an already weak coil. It could be something entirely different too though... I really don't know. |

Our bikes got reverse?? Glad to see you're back in the saddle James. I, unfortunately, and typically, won't be able to ride tomorrow. It's a shame that since I've actually moved to Phoenix, I get less riding time and happy hour with the boys, then I did when I lived in Tucson. Go figure... |

Yea! Definitely a sweet ride on Saturday Thanks to all for attending and making the ride a success with no eventful activities, oh wait there was the sheriff who decided to let everybody in one group off the hook. Also a special thanks to some newly aquired friends at SouthWestRides.com for adding some welcomed variety to our ride. I believe the total rider count was 23 once we randevued with our Tucson group. The ride up the mountain was filled with long sweeping switchbacks, smooth chicane's and g-force type hairpins. Props to everybody for riding at there own paces. At the top we gathered for some chit chat and proceeded to the Iron Door restauruant where we recieved 5 star service and a great meal. In conclusion to our ride was a meeting, we went over the days events and planned our next endeavor. We will be riding a loop consisting of the following sites Yarnell hill, White Spar national forest, Mingus mountain followed by a lunch in scenic Jerome. Feedback welcomed on ride details, meetings will now be the following week on Saturday sometime in the afternoon/evening. More details to come. Here's some of the pics.

They will be proven wrong... Thanks for the vote of confidence Don. Preliminary talks for the next ride have begun and it looks like we may be invading Prescott next. I hope you can join us. |
