hello everyone, this is Brian Cessna. I am located right out side of New Orleans, at River Dale HS. We are staying here tonite to weather out Rita. Ferris I hope your trip went well,I am sorry I had to turn around, was a heck of a ride back tell you that. Prior hope things are going well for you. I can just imagine seeing you coming down the Miss. on a raft built from 5 empty Kegs. Shouldnt have said that, you will probably do it!!! Have not had a chance to read everything here of course, but after withdrawing from college, will have a chance to catch up. Here we are pulling some security, ditributing food water and Ice to an average of 1,000 to 1,500 a day. This is my last time on here for awhile but before I sign off, thank you everyone for all the support for these victims. Seeing alot of distruction, and people in pretty pitiful states, however thier spirits are high. You all take care, Ferris, Prior, sorry I missed out on that Rad ride, Steve, wish I could have made it to La Vale, my Grandmother lives about 4 miles from there with plenty of room. Brian |

A quick note- I saw "Transporter 2" tonight. It was entertaining, but my BS meter was pegged through the majority of the action sequences. This movie truly blurred the line between exciting and laughable. |

Hey, I'm here and ticking, just have had troubles getting online and being able to post some. I just got some packages in the mail from several members. I also got some mail from my wife that she wrote me back in Feb, I just now got it. That's happened with several of us, not getting some of our mail until months later. I got something from Pam, Phillip, and Jerry & Denise. I want to thank each and every one of you for those packages. We appreciate all of it. |

Yep, I'm doing good, and again, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone. I'm more than halfway there. I'll probably be heading home in Jan or Feb, hopefully. If I'm lucky, I'll get to go home in Dec, but I may not be that lucky. |

ladies and gents, one of our own is over in Iraq, coverin' our butts so we can all ride in freedom, countin' the days until he's back here in America twisting his OWN grip again. he's prolly too polite to ask for a favor from you all again, but i am not bounded by such constraints. you wanna help SouthernMarine and his homies pass their time in fine style? send stuff! Southern, i know you posted before what kind of goodies mean the most to you and your compadres over there, can you repeat the list, please? the last box me 'd D sent was chock-a-block stuffed with bike magazines, bags of beef jerky, and big jars of roasted peanuts. what else can we send, bud? people, ya got a second? do you appreciate your freedom? Fellow badwebbers, Please say a prayer for my dad. He had just gotten back into riding this summer with the purchase of a Lightning from another badwebber. He layed it down this past weekend and broke vertebrae in his neck and back. A full recovery is expected over the next three months but this will end his motorcycling days. As for me, I'm also hanging my helmet up. Not sure whether permanently or not. While I realize objectively this doesn't change the risks that I had previously known and accepted, I'm sensitive to the anxiety riding would cause the rest of my family. Thanks to Dave for letting me out of the purchase commitment on the new XB9S. You're a stand up guy. Ken |

Holy crap! I'm glad they expect full recovery. Best luck to a speedy recovery for your dad. As for yourself. Take a break, take a deep breath, and don't make a decision right now. (Message edited by cruisin on September 28, 2005) |

Ken, Your Dad is in my prayers. May God bless him with a quick and full recovery. If you don't mind, let us know what happened. The details may help one of us avoid a similar scenario. |

Gnome -- prayer wheels on high-speed auto for your dad and your family, both -- thank your lucky stars you're both here, speaking to each other, and (soon, anyways) self-mobile . . . don't forget to tell him you love him (Dads dig that!) |
