Can anyone tell me what they are paying for a replacement Dunlop 208 installed? I about choked when my Stealer gave me the bill, and yet claims he has a "low price guarantee." |

If you had the dealer do the change on the bike then you probably paid an hour and a half to two hours labor. That cost alone is more than the price of a tire itself...... Next time pull the wheel yourself and take only the wheel to the dealer for a tire change. BC Steve |

Why would anyone want to put a Dunlop 207 or 208 on their bike? And to your question. I paid less than $15 dollars per wheel (pulling the wheels myself) to get tires mounted and balanced. Note for next tire change: Source tires somewhere else, and search the BadWeb for a much better alternative to the OEM tires. "Live and Learn" |

I got a set of Conti-Force Tires delivered to my door for $199. That's right, both tires for under $200 and they aren't Dunlops! One of my friends put them on for me for free, so $199 for both tires. You should be able to get tires put on your rims for about $15-$20 a piece if you take them off of the bike. Any tire store can put on bike tires, so don't waste your money at HD or on Dunlops! |

I've had good service from www.americanmototire.com. I bought some 208's and it was around $200 delivered for front and back. I went through them with a little over 2500 miles. Switched to Metzler Sportecs M1 and they rock. I would try something other than the Dunlops, they take to long to warm up and wear to quickly IMO. |

I know this has been raised before, but isn't anyone concerned that Dunlop tires that don't come from HD-Buell and other brands are heavier by something like 3 or 4 pounds (unsprung weight and all that). Not an issue? Performance overrides weight? |

Dwolk... 4 pounds lighter per tire = less tread. Which means less tire life. So I'll accept 4 pounds per tire thanks! Plus the fact I've never been happy with any dunlops on any bike I've had. |

The last time I actually bought a tire off the shelf, I paid $150 plus tax to get a 180 207 installed on a wheel I brought in myself at an independent shop in Atlanta. |

i bought my latest set of tires (pirelli sync) from ron ayers about 200 the pair. running the front since friday, very nice in torrential rain, and do a pretty good job at speed on a very wet muddy "gravel" road. they are made in germany, and at least the front required no weight to balance. guess i have to "second" frandog's question: why would you buy a dunlop 208? that has to be the worst possible tire you could select for an XB (Message edited by fullpower on October 03, 2005) |

I shopped the internet HEAVILY when looking for new tires... I got prices from about 8-10 places on 4 different tires. I then narrowed it down to the tires I wanted (Bridgestone 020s) and called a name brand company with a low price guarantee. I gave them the lowest internet price I had and they sure enough beat it by a buck... |

http://www.tireexpress.com Got a set of pilot powers at a decent price from here. There are lower prices but this ended up being the cheapest with shipping to me. |
