"I'm still looking forward to all the cold weather riding in November, December and early January." Damn you Gerbing! Damn you to Hell! Cafe Racer Inc. sponsered the track day. Track Addix is running a trackday at Heartland Park in mid-October. It'll be the first MC trackday at HP since they repaved. It could be a lot of fun. Unfortunately I can't go. BTW everyone, keep an eye out for a guy named Roger. He was at the track yesterday with a XB12R dedicated track bike. He lives in Topeka and also owns a CityX and a Blast. Shazam, your buddy Zack was at the track with us on Sunday. Said he met you in Cassoday and rode with you once or twice. Says his ears are still ringing from your exhaust. Good guy and fast too. |

Charles, some people have to work real hard to be fast....Zack is not one of them, he's a natural, fun to watch. Glad you had fun. Mileage book is in the hands of Chris at Gail's |

WT, I got 2nd place in the streetfighter class at the MC Worx Open house to answer your question. Which was not to hard since I think there may have been 4-5 of them total, but I will take what I can get. I just wanted to let the rest you all know that you missed a good day of riding at the BFB on Sunday. Despite the rain, the mud and the 4 hours of cleaning afterward. It did start out with some good rain which stung a lil at 70mph with the open face helmet, bad weather bikers for sure. When the sun broke out and we all dried up it turned out to be a nice day for a ride. There were 5 total in our group with Me and Shazam on StreetFighters. We had a hella good time being a lil to loud and burning up some tires. I dont think the older bikers liked it much, but at least we had fun. Any plans for the rest of the week? Anyone thinking about going to Topeka for the HArley Drags? |

Matt, I am seriously thinking about the harley drags this weekend. not sure about the timing but I WANT to go. A First place trophy would look a lot better than the Second place I got last year. anyone else interested? I need to make a drag bar for the firebolt if I go. Guess I will cut material today and get it on the lathe tonight. There's a model train show at union station this weekend that's always really cool to see. Goodguys nationals is in town at the KS speedway and ...... Lots of stuff going on this weekend. my wife also mentioned something she was wanting to do on the 24th.....no idea what that might have been Count me in for now |

Dtx, I'm kind of getting the run around. It got dropped off on Sat and nobody even looked at it until today. The service manager called me to tell me that the test rider said that nothing was wrong with my bike. I told him (again) what happened and asked for them to please at least pull the derby cover to check my adjustment screw. He said he would do so tomorrow AM, but that it will cost me. I personally think that is kind of screwed up, but nobody asked me! I know that no matter how well it works for their test rider, the clutch adjustment screw is currently about 20 turns from bottoming out on anything and that can't be right. John could not explain why what happened to me on Fiday night, but that's apparently no big deal. I feel like I've got a bike I'm riding to Arkansas in three weeks that better not fu*k-up as a result of all of this!I've decided that I'll pick it up tomorrow, ride it hard and if it breaks again, I'll take it to Topeka HD and give them a try instead. If I bought a new Cadillac and it screwed up with 7000 miles on the clock, I doubt I would have to wait a week until someone looked at it. So far this the only part of Buell ownership that sucks. I definitly get the feeling that Gail's would rather not have anything to do with me or my bastard bike. OK, rant off! Will you be riding again tomorrow? Talk to you soon, WT |

Hey WT, there is a guy at Central HD that will work on your bike off the clock for less $. His name is Frank and most of us have used him. Some one else may have a good number for him, or you could call Central and ask for Zues, tell him what's up and he'll put you in touch with Frank. You won't get the run around and he will get it quickly. |

WT, Franks been slammed with after hours projects, so I don't know fast he could anything done right now, but if your not getting warranty work done Central has 2 great Buell mechanics (Josh & Frank), Topeka is also really Buell friendly just ask James about his belt deal with Gail's and Topeka stepped right up and took care of him. As far as tomorrow night I will be at Fuel @ 7 if anyone wants to ride (weather permitting). For anybody that wants to go to the Vandergriff BBQ on Sunday we are leaving my house in Olathe at 12:30...PM me or call me if you wanna follow us, so we don't leave without ya. Larry |

You're all welcome at the BBQ at our house, Vandergriffs, on Sunday, beginning at 1 p.m. -- rain or shine. We have lots of bikes, lots of beer, lots of food, a warm swimming pool, plus great people to meet. If you need directions, I've attached a flyer. Come enjoy good friends and great bikes! |

Larry, you're a sick bastard. That pic is so wrong. WT, take your ride to Topeka. Gails has lost my business. All I wanted was my belt to be replaced under warranty on my 12R with 7,000 miles on it. Gails was giving me the run around as to whether they were going to warranty it or not and they didn't have the 06 belt anyway. Rather than ordering the belt so they had one when the warranty stuff was taken care of they waited. So my bike sat in Larry's garage for the beginning of the week while Gails was BSing with Harley. If I would have waited it would have been next week before I got a belt and Gails only wanted to give me an 04 belt anyway. Like I want another one of those so that it will last another 7K. So I call up Topeka and they have the belt in stock and gave me not one bit of trouble in regards to doing the replacement under warranty. The guy I was dealing with was David in Parts. He is awesome. Topeka HD is my new dealership and I would rather drive or have things shipped to me than go back to Gails. It is silly that they won't replace a $150 (retail) part on my $10,000 bike when they know that HD is going to reimberse them anyway! (Message edited by Olinxb12r on September 23, 2005) |

Check it out. Somebody already did the outer airbox the way I wanted to. It looks pretty cool, but I want to think of something else now that I know this has already been done.

I hear you! Gail's said they are done with my bike, so I'm getting dropped off in about an hour to pick it up. I guess I'll see how good thier test rider is. If it screws up again, I'll take it to Topeka until the warranty is out in Sept. of next year, then I'll explore some of the other options presented in this thread. Thanks for those! Maybe I'll see you some of you guys tonight. Fuel at 7, right? What about rain? C ya, WT |

I think it supposed to continue raining all night. When it rains it is girlfriend time. We have a deal. When it is winter or raining I spend time with her, but when it is sunny she can't bust my balls about wanting to ride constantly! Good luck with your bike WT. |
