Um, just to let you know, you CANNOT touch the actual bulb itself on the new one. If you're going to do it, handle it only with a paper towel. If you get ANY oils from your fingers on the bulb it will just burn out again a short time after. |

Yeah. Rain predicted for this weekend. BUMMER! For those of you *NOT* doing the track thingy this weekend, Wisconsin HD in Oconomowoc has a HOG ride for Breast Cancer. I normally don't attend any of the HOG stuff. But my brother and I attended last year and we were the *ONLY* 2 Buells there. Pathetic considering there were over 3,000 bikes in attendance. So if'n any of ya would like to go, email me... |

Speaking of Ice Cream...we may have a new member??? The manager of BaskinRobbins/Dunkin Doughnuts (just down the street from the dealership) just purchased an 06 XB12SS that was on the showroom yesterday. If he does not come to the meeting on Tues. maybe we can all drop in on him after our meeting????? |

Not 30min after the last race. Maybe they'll change back but I doubt it. Bicycles are no problem. |

Well, according to the email from Learning Curves, it's only a bummer in that we'll get wet. The school runs rain or shine (just have to be way more careful with the crash = no cert requirement). |

I wonder if they'll give us time to change tires? I do have a set of rain tires mounted and ready on a different set of rims. |

Its not raining here and it won't for the races, been too dry all summer. Heads ups and don't worry about it, besides ridin in the rain (done a day at Road America in the rain) makes you REAL smooth. To all camping/cooking out- is someone bringing a grill? I have a small lp gas grill, and the rig has oven, stove, microwave. Just curious, why should everyone bring a grill. |

Thanks Dana. Nope, not yet. Still scraping up the cash for it. I wont buy a "toy" like a bike on credit. Just doesn't make sense. So it may be a couple of weeks. But you wouldn't belive the deal I'm gettin' on one |

If we can get a sitter, yeah we'll be there. Sorry for the last 3-5 meetings. My schedule, and the meetings just did *NOT* work out well. Hals is doing okay. We've got 4 new members the last couple of months. Jamie, he's pretty active, been on every ride so far. I think Matt(aka MSOE kid, AKA Carparts) will be pretty active. And he's a darn good rider for his age! Was keeping up with Dave Klosterman quite well(Dave Klosterman is an ex road racer, and a very entertaining gentleman to watch ride. I've never seen someone flick an S3 quite as elegant as he can, just ask CJ ). So, anyone from Bell doing the Slimy Crud Run? Dave Klosterman knows some darn good roads up that way. If'n any of ya want to meet us at Hals, you'd be welcome to join us. We're gonna head up HWY18 and meet Dave and my father-in-law that morning around Mukwonago. |

Hey Dana and Steve how about stoppin out at Blackhawk. Its just something different, and the I'm sure the campfire stories Saturday nite will be fun! The ice cream store owner has a Buell eh? Sounds like a new stop to make, ice cream, Boiler Room,...... I won't make the Crud run either and isn't the make up drag date the 1st? But hopefully the Uly will need some miles for break-in and I'll have my cold weather gear set up, I know Steve will ride later this fall. Sure wish we had time to do a across the lake ride, take the Lake Express, ride in Michigan, maybe hook up with Spidy, stay over nite and take the ferry back Sunday. Just a idea....maybe next spring??? (I don't want winter......) |
