The other day I was riding and all of the sudden the engine started surging and then the cluster did a sweep. It keep running rough. So long story short I found the negative side of the battery cable loose. Tighten it up and bike runs fine, except one small problem. When I turn on the bike and start it after the check engine light goes out, it comes back on again for about 4 secs then goes out after the engine has started. It doesn't flash or anything. The bike runs great. Is there a way to clear this? |

If I recall that means that it had a code in the past and it's telling you that. Should stop doing that if the bike runs with no codes after so many starts. |

I believe it takes like 50 starts before it will clear itself |

Now, if the light doesn't go off after 4 seconds, well, then you have a problem. |
