Hi Paul, I have been working 12 hours or more a day and have not done much riding since I have been back from Sturgis. Bill Cobb and I and our wives went to Sturgis and had a great time and rode quite a bit and even test rode some new Harleys, I particurly liked the Vrod Screeming eagle bike, Smoooth and fast and realy sharp looking too. |

10-4 on the V-rod, I am reasoning with my wife (O.K. Begging) to get one soon. I really like the new Blacked out V-rod, Bill C told me about it. I looked at one on the showroom and fell in love! And hey about the work, I to am really getting tired of the long days, it's o.k. for the first couple of weeks, but it gets old quick. Still riding to work every day--except hard rain like today. |

Paul, The rain only lasted an hour or two....and you call yourself a badweatherbiker? had a bunch of fun at BFB, Rode with Rusty(fxr), Matt(streetfighter), Jason(X1) and Charles(S1). Three other Buells in attendance Black XB12S, Blue M2 and a Red XB12s didn't get a chance to see who they were. only casualty yesterday was my rainsuit, which a portion of is still on the exhaust pipe of Jeff's MCworx streetfighter, the rest found it's way into the garbage can at the gas station by the speedway. The weather had cleared up so I thought I was done with it anyways....boy was I wrong. hahaha |

Shazam wrote: Just wanted to tell you guys: Alex told me last night that it was "really cool coming around that corner and seeing all those Bikes waiting for us" He was really impressed with the showing from KC and made a point to mention it to me. thought I would pass it on is all. I was glad you guys all came out to! and it definitely was cool! wow, i couldn't agree more! i have been WAY busy since i got back, but i'm trying to take a second here and there to say thanks, and you guys really deserve all the props in the world for your enthusiasm and support. in fact, in the entire FBRAT ride no one was better represented than the KC gang, with the possible exception of the SoCal squadron Saturday night at Ocotillo Wells. it was an awesome couple of days passing thru your hood, and how cool that Shazam and KCBill would come all the way up to Waterloo to bring me 'n Alex back down to KC? and Loren, thanks for leading the ride south after we hooked up. i've led a ton of rides over the years, and know how hard it can be. am glad we can all laugh at what happened, and hope that everyone takes something positive away from it for the future. i'm hanging a day-by-day recap of the ride in Tale Section as i can, in between w*rk, w*rk, and more w*rk - hope y'all like the pix and words. finally, to Thunder, you are the man! good food, good beer, good cigars, and THEN you get up the next morning at 3 a.m. and ride with me all the way to Hays? you're SICK!!! thanks for the warm hospitality, all of you. this leg of the ride was very special to me, because of the stellar turnout and awesome camaraderie. i'd be honored to ride with any and all of you again. ok, back to w*rk, grumble, grumble... Jerry, the ride made for a great day. It was great meeting you and sharing in the Epic Journey. Bill, did you notice the "popcorn" bidding policy. Nobody can snipe that kind of auction. What's up with them sending out a 1099 on it? I guess so you can't write it of as charity. |

Yup. An no one has bid on it since I placed my bid a week ago....... Not sure, but If you get an 11,495 bike for $9,000 then you shouldn't deduct it. |

Court, That sounds like a good story! Please elaborate. Also, I was talking to my neighbor this week who used to work at Topeka HD. His name is Perry Keegan. He told me to tell you hello. Small world isn't it? We both live in Olathe now, but are both from Topeka originally. |

Bill, Maybe the difference (11495-9000) is what they 1099 you for as "income" and not the whole $11495. Jerry you are very welcome. |

"Court, That sounds like a good story! Please elaborate." damn rookies! Court doesn't elaborate! but you can remind him to tell you about it sometime. Jerry, it was a distinct pleasure. one of the funniest things I heard on the trip was "well, I figured if that big flucking honda could do it....." - Loren's thoughts on keeping you and racerboy(st1300) in sight when you wicked it up. I wonder just how many people have cursed that train of thought. hahaha still funny! lots of good memories. |

Keeping Racerboy in sight is not advisable. Especially when he goes to the one hand on the hip mode. |

I get shivers just thinking about the one hand on the hip mode.... the really retarded part is mid-corner, exponential speed, when you see his hand come off his hip, and you think he has to grab his handle bar, he'll adjust his mirror. |

nononononono..... must be leaned over at >40 degrees and more than 80 mph. Sam is just "adjusting" himself. |
