Anyone had any problems with excessive front tire wear while riding Deals Gap? One side of my front tire lost an entire row of tread after one day. |

Those roads are brutal on tires, it is something to do with the compound combined with the type of riding they beg for. I observed a ton of tire wear for just a couple days riding there. |

Riding the Gap on a regular basis is an expensive hobby :-) Two days will roast a set of Dunflops. We have found that the Pilot's seem to wear better/longer for that particular area. YMMV, G2 |

I've got Conti Force Max's on a 9s and 9R and spent a week at the gap with no problems. |

I spent three days there and definately noticed the tire wear was pretty excessive on the front as well as the rear. It may be my riding style, or lack of, but I felt like I had a lot of weight on the front of my bike when going around some of the corners. I felt like with a little less grippy tire I would have definatley washed out the front. And I would agree that one side of my front tire seemed to have less tread than the other when I left. I worked on evening out my entries to square the corners off as best I could and that seemed to make it a lot easier on the bike and myself. Kickash place to be, I love the Dragon!! |

I had maybe 50 miles on my tires before i rode up there. Total of about 550 miles in a day. Metzelers Sportec M1's handled awesome. The dun'slops' i had wore out in 1 DAY. Hated those tires |
