I just got a Sporpion EXO 700 helmet. Black/siler Raider style and it's simply amazing. After my old helmet suffered a 6ft drop onto concrete (I might have unconciously done that on purpose) I decided to replace my helmet with a Scorpion. My previous helmet was a crappy Zeus modular helmet that weighed a ton, lifted at slow speeds & acted as a sail everytime I turned my head. The scorpion is the complete oppisite. It's light & comfty. The shield pops on & off lickity split. The liner is said to be removable & machine washable (but air dry it only)but I have yet to try it. The shield really is fog free! I only went as fast as 80-85 mph and there was no lift. Turning my head had absolutely no effect on handling (unlike my old Zeus when cornering). I can't say anything about wind noise cause it's been over a decade since I wore a premium helmet but the Scorp is alot quieter than my Zeus. I did spend the extra $8 for the aero skirt that attatches underneath the chin bar & keeps air from rushing up. I seriously doubt I could find a better helmet for $200 (or $300 for that matter). I was thinking about a Shoei RF-1000 as I've seen them for $335 on ebay but for a few dollars less, I got an awesome helmet, a hard case for said helmet, an aero skirt & a light smoke shield. I have never been so pleased with an online order. I think the fit of the Scorp is close to a Shoei but like I said it's been over 10 years since I wore a Shoei so my memory could be off. |

I ordered it direct from their website. double-you double-you double-you dot scorpionusa dot com or just google Scopion helmets. Our sponsors should start stocking these. |

I just bought an EXO400 with clear and mirror shield, upgrade chrome quick change buttons for $140 at a local dealer. Great fit, but I am a little concerned with the vacuum affect of the helmet. I have hit a swarm of bugs and rode behind a truck kicking up dust and got junk in my eyes. I never had that problem with my HJCs. Its not the vents because I've closed off the vents, the junk is coming up from under the front of the helmet. It is designed to create a vacuum to improve air flow and it works. I just wish I could turn it off. Other than that, great helmet. |

I have both the exo 400 and the exo 700. I love them both. The fit is top notch, and for the money, you just cant beat them. They are DOT and Snell approved, and that means a lot. At 125 mph, there is no wind shear from the side or turning of the head. If there are any cops on here, someone told me that last one. lol The money I paid for both of them was less than the Shoei I was going to get, and they fit just as well. They are the smallest amount heavier, but for the money a few oz. dont mean much. I would highly recommend them. |

I purchased a warhawk 6 months back. I too think they are great quality, fit and value. To prevent the "vacuum" you need this part. <http://www.scorpionusa.com/products/aeroskirt.html> but I kind of enjoy the breeze on my face. I prefer not to follow trucks, but the bugs are unavoidable. It is a relatively new company, but their products are becoming more available. You may see more and more of them. |

Agreed, the Scorpion EXO helmets are a great deal, I bought an EXO-400 last week to replace my crash damaged Arai RX7-RR. I wanted a DOT and Snell rated helmet , and was on a budget. I am pleasantly pleased witht the helmet. The venting is almost as good as the Arai, and it's as quiet as the Arai if not quieter. It fits me better than the HJC products, vents better than the HJC CL-14, and has a removable liner. The anti-fog works real well also, I can not get it to fog, and I can't wait to try it in the rain. What more do oyu want for $130. James |

The aero skirt is worth the extra $7 or $8 I was wondering why I hadn't experienced the vacuum effect then I realized I have the skirt. |

I have to get the areo-skirt. The visors work great in the rain. The anti-fog coding works likes rain-X. I hit a good rain storm on the way home the other day and a simple turn of the head produced a clear vision. The best I've ever had in the rain. |

I've got a 700, lost the rear vent somewhere in Missouri on Monday. Called Scorpion today and explained what had happened. The lady took down my name and address, said one would be sent out. Free. Love the helmet, and they have great customer service! Alex |

Alex, Glad to hear about the company's response on your helmet. I was a little nervous Monday when you told me about your rear vent coming off, as I also have a 700. Of course, I don't ride at the warp speed that you do! Ride Safe! |

Bruce, I was definitely impressed. I can't say that I didn't hit the vent on something or whatever, all I know is that is was there and now isn't. Great to see you again, hope you're enjoying that CityX! |

My Scorpion EXO-400 Review I bought the 400 from a local dealer to back up my KBC VR2. • The 400 is a touch heavier • The shield release is simple and feels solid. • Racheting it up is a bit stiffer than my other helmets, but may ease with time. • I've been riding in temps between 20 and 40 degrees this week, and I have not been able to get this shield to fog one bit, and I've been trying! • Without the Aeroskirt, I would get constant airflow around my nose and eyes, which was highly annoying. The addition of the aeroskirt solved this problem, IMHO it's a 'must have' add on. • The EXO is quieter than my either of my KBC helmets, or my AGV. I'm very happy with the helmet and I would recommend it. It has the Snell 2000and DOT rating. |
