It went very smooth, I cautioned Gabe to take it easy being his first time. He did and I believe he enjoyed it despite having to ride out of there in the dark. Anybody else coming with us to tucson tomorrow? J | ||

I'm not gonna make the pre-ride cause of my leaky gas tank but I will be able to make the actual ride cause I should have new tank on by then. But I will take a ride up South Mountain tomorrow if anyone in town that wants to do that let me know. (Message edited by careyj on September 17, 2005) | ||

Buellj you're right, I really did enjoy it. The views are great and for only being 14 miles that road sure forces you to learn how to lean and set up corners. Dogwood I wish you could've come out as well. Unfortunately I don't think I can do the Flats much later than 5:30pm.  I'm just way too slow on some of those corners. Anybody think they'ld like to go to the Flats on Thursday? Afterward we could have some food/beer at Hooters on Superstition. I just learned they give 20% off to bikers on Thursdays'. | ||

Jeremy and I wrapped my headers last night. It looks real nice. Still smelling burnt fiberglass every time I come to a stoplight. LOL I'll post some pics when I get home tonight. Thanks again J!! | ||

Hi guys, I'm pretty sure I'm going to Octoberfast, but I am definitly looking for someone to ride there with. I just need my engine to not burn up on me. It's using lots of oil and Chandler HD wants me to put another 500 miles on it before they will dig into it to find out whats wrong. Bart if you're going, it would be cool if we could hook up to ride there. I don't know to many other people that are going, but if you don't mind a tag-along I'm up for the ride. OH, good timing on have our "First official club ride" on the same weekend. Oh well, I'll just have to do Mt. Lemon some other weekend. Later, Kelly | ||

Kelly: We announced this ride weeks ago and nobody ever spoke up about other ride date conflicts. I was "thinking" about doing Oktoberfast but put it on the back burner, I/WE would rather get our current club going first. Dan and I did Mt.Lemmon on Sunday and had a great time meeting up with Brandon(Mou5e). The opportunity to ride it then was there. There will be plenty of more opportunities to squeeze the "Lemmon" Have fun! J  | ||

M1, J and I took off the fan and the rear shock so we could get to the rear cylinder easier. We used the 2" tape Jeremy had left over from his 12S and started at the rear head pipe and wrapped down using 1" spacing. The 9s has more space between the two and we could get way down in between them. Then we started at the top of the front pipe and worked down and double wrapped when the two come together. Just be sure to keep the tape damp using a spraybottle, wear latex gloves, and wear a long sleeve shirt or you will be VERY ITCHY!! You can use those metal ties or hose clamps to hold the tape tight near the cylinders. --I just realized that you have force headers, right? That would be tough. It should look tough too though . I just can't stand the silver... About the only thing it matches is my front brake lever and I'll be putting a CRG gold shorty on there at some point anyway... | ||

Looks like no Oktoberfast for me or Kobie, doesn't look like my new gas tank will be here in time and Kobie only has Saturday and Sunday off cause he's slammed at work. I'll save the rest of my time off for Springfast '06. | ||
