Hi, As a newbe I might have some stooopid questions. My first question is, how is the Jardine slip-on's powercurve or dynocurve compared to the drummer on xb12 engines? |

I hated my Jardine. Came apart after a couple of months. Was replaced under warranty and came apart again. I am not sure about the power. I couldnt keep it together long enough to put it on the dyno. But that is just my experience, some people love them. |

Buellerx: What do you mean with 'came apart'? What happend to it, did it just loosen apart from itself? |

I think some Jardines have had their rivets pop. I think it's the front ones. As far as a power curve... I think the Jardine will make VERY close to the same power (if not one or two more) at the very top of the RPM range compared to a Drummer. Every where else though (where you actually ride 99.9% of the time) the Drummer will kill the Jardine. Basically, from 2K through to about 5800 it seems to ME that the Drummer would be the way to go. The power gains on the bottom and mid-range with a Drummer should be VERY noticeable over the Jardine. The Jardine as I recall has a curve that's a lot like the factory race kit. It tends to sacrifice power on the low end and mid range for power on the top. The Drummer seems to not sacrifice anything but maybe a TINY bit of mid-range but ONLY against pipes that seem to be tuned specifically for the mid-range. It typically beats those pipes on top and bottom (force and D&D) and loses only by one maybe two HP over a relatively narrow range right in the middle (like 2800-3400). The gains above and below seem to make it worth it. |

When I say "Came Apart" I mean that the holes where the end caps were riveted, elongated and the whole end cap started to move back and forth. Eventually the rivets came out and the end cap came off. happened twice with two different Jardine pipes. Sounded really bad and had a loss of power due to the fact that it was developing a major exhaust leak. |

My Ti can hasn't done that-even with all the packing blown out. Probably because Ti is closer to steel in strength. |
