Don't really know, I rode to work and everything was fine. Worked till 5:00 and went to leave, hit the key, normal. I go to hit the starter and all the light on the dash cut out, the relays started buzzing and so on, I figured the relay went dead so I pulled it in the shop and swapped around the relays, no luck. I tried to jump the battery, no luck, I tried jumping the battery and the starter, no luck. I put it in third gear an tried to push start it, no luck. At that point I called the dealer. Told them what happened, they sent someone to come and get me. shortly there after Cameron should up personally with a bike for me to ride home. |

My Triumph did that recently, no lights (except blinkers), no juice, no nothing, replaced the ignition switch and all was fine. I figure 60k miles in all manner of weather takes its toll on exposed electrics. |

Lucas.....Prince of Darkness I restored a '72 Triumph 650 Tiger back to original and the lights were not bright enough to ride at night in my opinion. God, I loved that bike. I post some pics someday. Shoulda never sold it..... |

A gentleman does not motor about after dark. George Lucas When I was recovering from my broken hip and totaled FLH,I bought a '71 BSA 650 Thunderbolt.I yanked the points setup and installed a Boyer Branson electronic ignition. It started on the 1st or 2nd kick. Shred,it was good seeing you and the famous Mr.B.Sunshine!You didn't intro your new bud,was that Duc_htr? |

>>And British electrics at that! Same bits of electric voodoo that are in your bikes. Its funny, when the ignition went no smoke escaped. (you'll have to know your Lucas theories to get that one). |

Same bits of electric voodoo that are in your bikes. He's from Canada, it allows him to belittle everything else, another plus to being from the great white north. I didn't disconnect the battery when changing blinkers, fortunately I only blew a fuse, smoke fully intact. |
