I don’t quite know where to post this in KC so I’ll put it on both threads… First of all…FRANK, where the hell were you?…I really enjoyed meeting everyone, most for the first time and, as I said, it is really neat to see (not to mention hear) all of your rides…And Rich, I was sincere in what I said re the Orange Blossom Special in that it is much better looking in person than in film… Sam…What can I say as it is always great fun when we’re together…Like I said, there were two things missing…Frank and John…And I was kind of looking forward to meeting Dennis, but?…And those roads at the top of the state really surprised me…None too technical until 87 but some damn good pavement and sweepers that you could mostly see all the way thru…And that was a bit of fun when Jerry took off on 87… Here’s the info on the detailing product I was telling you about: http://www.corrosionx.com/rejex.html And here’s the info on the October Arkansas excursion: MO-SIL-hSTA Arkansas Road Trip Friday, October 14 to Monday, October 17 Friday…Travel day to Mountain View AR Satuday…All day ride Sunday…All day ride Monday…Return to St Louis Suggested Accommodations (by Sylamore Creek Camp) Sylamore Creek Camp Sylamore Creek Rd, Mountain View, AR, 72560 Phone (870) 585-2326 www.sylamorecreek.com/ One cabin that sleeps two in a queen and two in a pull out and lots of camping spaces both with and without water and electric…The Heron cabin reserved ins $65 per night and camping is $10 or $15 for an electric and water site…The first to pay for the cabin gets it and can decide whether they want to share it with others… Anglers White River Resort Hwys 5,9,14 N. , Allison, AR, 72560 Phone (870) 585-2226 www.anglerswhiteriver.com Motel type rooms overlooking the White River…But gravel parking and driveway…This is right across the road from Sylamore so if you want/need a roof over your head this is the first place to try…The prices for all three of these places are very comparable…John and I are staying here…The price is $59…$64 with a kitchenette…John’s doing all the cookin’… Jack's Fishing Resort 707 Hayden Heights at Allison, Mountain View, AR, 72560 Phone (870) 585-2211 www.jacksresort.com Motel type rooms also overlooking the White River…Prices are Queen - $54, King - $59, Double - $59…Prices are for two persons… That’s it…If you call Sylamore to take the cabin please use my name and let me know it is taken…There are four camping sites reserved also in my name… |

It was great meeting the KC group Monday, wish I'd have been able to ride along further. After the "pile up" when you all went south on K I continued west on 6. You really missed out on a messed up ride. About 10 miles west of where you turned south, I got caught up in the Labor Day Parade for the metropolis of Green Castle, Missouri. Traffic backed up on the two lane, sitting stopped in the heat, horse crap all over the road. What a scene. If that freight train of Buells had come roaring through town in the middle of the parade I don't think those locals would have known what to think. Then about 15 miles later I got the first "Fresh Oil/Loose Gravel Next 16 miles" sign. I'm still trying to figure out which was worse, the horse hockey or the oil/gravel combo. Glad you guys all had a great time. I live in Maryville but work in KC two days a week. Hopefully some day we can hook up for a ride, dinner or both. Ride Safe! |

Bjack, We usually meet at Fuell at 119th and Metcalf in OP on Friday nights for our weekly rides. Let us know if you are coming and we'll make sure not to leave without you. You really should have stuck with us! There was a little bit of loose gravel and fresh oil on one stretch, but we hit some truly awesome roads. |

Cereal, thanks for the invite. I would have loved to ride further with you guys, but I had a date with my 85 year old Grandma in Trenton. She's in a nursing home and I wanted to make sure I got by to see her on Monday. If I had gone on south with you all I'm afraid I would have gotten lost in the fun of the moment and not made it back to Trenton. Would have been fun, but I need to make sure I get to see her as often as I can these days. Hope to see you all some Friday at Fuell. |

OK Folks Listen up. I am trying to organize a ride to the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs. See: http://www.kcrenfest.com If we can get 10 or more adults, we can pre-order the tickets for $11 each. I was thinking about the Weekend of 24 September, either Sat or Sun. Ride out early. Spend 4 or 5 hours there, then ride back. So, sound off and let me know if you want to go, and which day you would prefer. I won't do this unless we get 11 firm commitments for the ride. (That allows one to bail and we still get the good price.) Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. |

Bill, count me out. Tim, I ordered the parts yesterday and mine was not in stock. He said we should get them by the end of next week. If you want yours sooner, give him a call tomorrow and he will ship them separately. |

Stopped by fuel tonight since I will not be able to make it tomorrow. Saw a black X1 with blue rims and a city X with MO tags, just wondering in anyone knows the owners. (Message edited by thansesxb9rs on September 08, 2005) |

Hi, I'm new to the board and live in Overland Park. I just got an 04 XB12S and I'd like to meet some other Buell riders in my area and check out some other bikes. Can anyone come to the rides and meetings? Where at 119th and Metcalf does everyone get together? Thanks, Warren |

The next BRAG meeting is next Thursday, I think, if I counted right. You can come and meet some of the folks who post here. See if you want to join. BRAG (and HOG) membership carries some roadside benefits that can be nice......... Not all the KC MOB or the "Least Wanted" are BRAG members. |
