Buellistic - On those boots, how did the sizing as marked match your normal shoe size? Some will run a little small or large and going up or down a size or so will make it work. Jack |

Jackbequick: "i" wear MASON LEATHER SHOES size 13, BUT the BUELL boots size 12 fit the best ... What you could do is go to RED WING shoe store and get your feet maesured and get one size smaller in the BUELL boots "OR" go to a "REAL BUELL DEALER"(that is one that has BUELL stuff) and try some on ... Thanks, I know my shoe size and was just trying to get a feel for the systematic error from the Chinese boot factory. It is sort of unusual for them to run large, I most often find I myself having to get a larger size. Real Buell dealers are in short supply around here. We have a H-D/Buell place but the Buell's are sort of relegated to a inconspicuous room off in one corner and the clothing and accessories are special ordered rather than stocked. They'll let you sit on bikes, test rides are reserved for "serious lookers". I don't know what you have to do to qualify yourself as a serious looker. Jack |

I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner. I bought some Buell boots on eBay in my normal size and they were huge. I sold them on eBay at a loss and bought some others, after writing the seller first. I bought a full size smaller and they fit perfectly. I like them for riding, but not for much else. And they are great looking boots. |

I just bought a pair of Buell boots on E-bay. I normally wear a size 11 shoe and the 11 boot fit me well. Some sizes were "but it now" and others up for auction. The buy it now price + shipping was quite reasonable. Mark Cincinnati, OH |

I purchased a pair in the fall, wore them for the first time last week in 38 degree temps. Toes all nice and toasty, hope they are water resistant as they say and they will be great boots. Why isn't Buell marketing this gear anymore??? They have produced some quality apparel and it just stopped.....Can't sell it if they don't have it! |

Coolice: Just like the BUELL motorcycles the HARLEY-DAVIDSON Dealers do not know how to sell, the same applies to anything else that says BUELL on it !!! Now that BUELL is HARLEY-DAVIDSON it is subject to all the H-D "BUELLschitte !!! There never was any info on the BMC web site about the BUELL Boots ... The way "i" found out about them was Dealer that sponsers our BRAG Club had a pair on and when "i" found them they were in the H-D Boots section ... "i" said something about this to the Dealer, now they are with the BUELL Cloths ... Going to DAYTONA 2006 ??? In BUELLing LaFayette |

Just came in today. They're sweet! Take heed of the one size over advice. I did and am glad for it. I wear a 13 and the 12'ves fit beautifully... |

I should have listened to you guys! I just got a pair and even after mentioning this thread, the e-bay store owner talked me into going with 1/2 size smaller. They don't fit bad, but I am going to go to the full size smaller.... |

After really looking at their design, I'm sending them back for a refund. I was hoping to take my foot protection up a level from the Herman survivors that I wear now, and am Particularly interested in ankle protection. While these boots are handsome and well made, they do not offer any more protection and have less support. I'm not saying don't buy them, they are still a great buy, just not what I was hoping for (wasn't expecting race boots, but a single layer of leather over the ankle bone isn't what I wanted) |

The only good hit I got on google is for Aerostich's site? There they are only showing 2 boots, both way over $200. Am I in the right place? New Enough had some nice Sidi's on sale for $159... (Message edited by scott_in_nh on February 03, 2006) |

That's the right place. I wear Sidi's but I wish Rocky still made the Eliminator 911. here's a good place to buy boots. Good selection and great return policy. Check the ones with built-in holsters for that "extra" protection. |

That's the right place. The Combat Touring boots may be the last pair of boots you ever buy. Ther other ones, which I have, are also very, very nice and will last a very long time. |

The Combat Touring Boots will be one of two things: 1) The BEST boots you ever bought and they will be the last pair you ever buy. They are, in an odd motorcyclist sort of way, "art". 2) The WORST boots you ever bought. No single piece of gear in the history of motorcycling has more polarized serious touring riders. The good news is that it takes about 5 years of serious riding to break them in . . . about 85,000 "smiles". |

Court: Thought 85,000 miles was how long it took to "BREAK" in my 97S3T as "i" just turned over 86,065.8 miles as of the last ride and my BUELL boots are broke in on the foot pegs ... In BUELLing LaFayette |

I realized after receiving mine that they're no track boot, but better than the combat boots I've been wearing because they are moto specific; no laces to get caught etc... I think they're stylin'! |

The lack of laces is one of the reasons I want moto boots, but I always wear moto pants too, so my laces don't hang out. You are right, they are stylin' and a great buy, just not the boost in protection I was hoping for.... |

I just bought my joe rocket two piece suit, all black of course, and was looking for boots... then i thought. i have a pair of converse, yes converse tactical side zip boots.. black which just doesnt work well here in Iraq so i took them home. i think maybe ill try them. Ive been in the military and in police work most of my adult life and these are the most comfortable boots ive ever worn and pretty inexpensive. ill have to do something to cover the laces but shouldnt be a problem since their side zip.
