I'm up for a ride to Canyon Lake Saturday morning for now, I don't know about Sunday yet my work hasn't posted the new schedule yet. I'm off on monday so I'll be at the BRAG meeting. J, you guys missed out on a great ride!! We did 495 miles!! Went up 89 to just outside Williams took I-40 to Flagstaff then over to Mormon Lake for lunch then down through Strawberry, Pine and Payson. rolled into the valley at 3pm. | ||

I'll be at the meeting on Monday. Unfortunately I don't think I can do weekends. I have to work Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Also don't think I can do flats this weekend. But if anybody else that can't make it knows of a shorter local ride, let me know please. | ||

Gabe, Tortilla Flats is pretty local. It's just about 20 minutes from where we met up for the Salt River Canyon ride. | ||

Gabe: This ride is as close as they get, I can get there in 10 minutes from my house. My house is right by the last meet up point. When we do this ride its a pretty short day. Carey: Glad you will be able to make it to the meeting. That ride sounds like you guys had a great time. I had 312 miles on the ODO when I got home. Well since its a local ride I would definitely like to go. Unfortunately they won't have the work done on my bike until next week it seems. They have to change out my fuel pump. Sorry. I'll still be able to make the meeting on monday though. | ||

J, sorry I won't be able to meet up with you guys tomorrow I have to work late tonight and be there at 1pm tomorrow but thats not all I was installing my integrated tail light and removing the side panels to take off the tail section I smelled gas, My garage has had a faint gasoline smell since I brought the bike home and sure enough in the lower right corner on the weld seam is a small leak, I haven't noticed it till now, the paint is bubbling and discolored brown. I call the Dealer and checked on a tank in my color and there like way back ordered like my passenger seat solo cowl. Oh well I'm still gonna ride cause its not on the exhaust side and I'm fully insured. Here's a pic of the leak  | ||

Sure it will. Eventually the drips will make their way down onto the painted plastic and screw with the paint. | ||

That's gotta suck There are tons of things he can do, I just figure he isn't worried about it, so why mention something that kawasaki might give him crap for before he brings it to their attention? Its a warranty issue, in this case, its one I would rather let the dealer handle from the onset, rather then do a temporary fix, and get screwed for it. | ||

Is a leaking tank a problem with Buells? Where would you look for leaks since our tank is the frame? I'm new to buell/bike ownership and I'm just curious to know where I would look. | ||

I've personally never heard of a leaky talk on a Buell. The Italians (where the frame is made) are the best in the world with aluminum fabrication techniques. | ||

Last nights meeting went well. We chose those interested in being officers as such. When the HOG organizers hand it over it will be official. Andrew/Director Me/Asst.Director/Event coordinator Dan/Secretary Gabe/Treasurer Thanks to those who were able to make the meeting As of right now we are going to schedule rides and meetings on the same day, that way it makes it a little more convienient for everybody. Our first meet and ride will be the first Saturday of each month making Oct 1st our first official ride to Mt.Lemmon in Tucson Dan and myself are planning a pre-ride this weekend to scope things out and make plans with the owners up at Summerhaven or the Ski lodge. My 7500 mile service is quickly approaching and I thought I would get it in to CHD/B sometime this weekend. I've only had her since the end of April. I guess I can take it in on Sunday. J: I need to try on your Arai...you said it's a medium right? There's one on ebay for cheap, but I want to make sure it can fit my dome. I'll call you when I get home. | ||

I might be able to make the pre-ride, the guy that bought my S2 wants to ride this weekend so I see if he'll get up that early. J, sorry I couldn't make it to the meeting on monday, the cops had my street sealed off cause some idiot on the corner smacked his wife around she called the cops and said he had a gun and held up in the house with wife and kids for a few hours then around 7 the wife and kids came out and then him, I don't know if he had a gun when he came out but the cops shot him!!! My re-street opened around 10pm!!! | ||
