For those of you who have crashed with swingarm sliders and/or front axle sliders, did you also have your rear passenger foot peg carriers installed/in-place, and did the passenger foot pegs help to prevent damage? I plan to take a Track Day and was wondering if I should put my passenger foot pegs back on the bike for the track day?

i just laid my bike down at 2 mph. broke rider peg off, clutch lever, minor scratch in frame, front axle and passenger peg. i would say the passenger pegs help keep the swing arm off the ground.

Nothing more than a fortunate coincidence.

True axle sliders cannot be beat, nor can their functionality be obviated by something else.

The Dark Horse Sliders are my personal choice. Very affordable. Easy to install. Look fantastic and fit & finish spot on.

Simple answer is that YES the passenger pegs do help in an accident. To what extent varies depending on the accident. 30mph lowside in gravel, they aren't going to do much, 80mph highside, they helped alot.
