Anyone can tag along. Now, we need to decide where and when to go. Do you feel like riding to McHenry or stick around the Lake Geneva, East Troy, Burlington area. I guess we should choose now so Coolice and Fiery know whether to meet us or not. I know some people may have time restrictions, so I guess that will be the deciding factor. I'd like to get a fairly early start. 6:00am... Hell no. But 9:00 or 10:00am is better than 12:00 or 1:00pm for me. So everyone that's going, chime in and we'll set it up tonight yet. |

And the decision is?????? I only suggested McHenry, it's about 1 3/4 hours from Ottawa to McHenry. Any place else you can think of maybe northwest of there or southwest? I'll keep checking here.......... Hey better yet lets ride to Navy Pier in Chicago!! |

Wow! McHenry would usually sound great to me. as it is close to home...but I went out with my brother-inlaw today and put a unexpected 300+ miles on and the Damn rear tire has the threads showing again. That's less than 1K on this one, with no burnouts or wheelies, or holeshots or anything. I'm ready to bring that tire back to the manufacturer and tell em to stick it where the sun don't shine. Thats the last stock set for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW Mike and Dana, What tires are you running, I remember when you both got them you guys where raving about them. I think I might like to get a set. |

M1 is a nice street tire but i wouldnt use it on the track. I tried many brands with my gsxr750 and always like pirelli supercorsas best. |

Yes I agree about the track usage, not good for that. I put this set on last July, been on 1 track day, numerous trips to and from Racine to Ottawa, (145 miles each way), Daytona Bikeweek( which tire rear tire smoked leaving a sportbike hangout), and more trips, plus poker runs, riding here and there. And homecoming this year( rear tire smoked again 'cause DaveS 12R started it). I looked at it today and it doesn't show any wear, because this Thursday I go to the Autobahn track for the day. They work well in the rain and the bike feels very stable. I recommend them. Fiery needs tires again too but she needs a sponser for her Thursday nite habit! |

Pirelli Scorpion Syncs.Stickier than the Dunlop 207s. Warm up faster, turn in faster, better in the rain, and longer lasting. I've got 4K on my S3 with those on 'em. Did 1 track day. There is at least 50% tread left on 'em. |

Gotta wait till Tuesday to get the bearing from my bearing supplier( I stick to American/Japanese made NSKs versus the HD ones, made who knows where, and they are 1/4 the price for me), and borrow a tool from Hals to press the 5th gear out and back in again. It's really not hard to do this. Much easier than I anticipated. The rear wheel bearing falling apart in my hand kinda scared me. Good thing the tranny seal failed when it did. |

Wheel bearing fell apart? |

Yup. Put the bike on the swingarm stand. Rolled the wheel, and I could hear (click... click... click...) when I rolled it. Took the wheel off, and the ball bearing fell out in to my hand, along with the outer shield. I knew it was about time to change 'em... But I didn't think I needed to change it *THAT* soon HD wanted $40 a piece for the bearings(3 needed for the rear, 2 for the front). I paid $65 for all 5 for American made NSKs |

Works for me 10:30am. What time at the Restaurant, 12ish? We'll see what others say and go from there. The In-Laws will be the deciding factor for us when we bring Jon over there at 9:30am. Don't ask me what I'm still doing up at this strange hour. Not like me at all!! |
