In the Feb 2001 issue of Hot Rod Bikes Magazine there is a spread on this great Buell. He met with the Orlando Buell Club during Biketoberfest and rode to Daytona with us.

Robert: Here's what I know about Eurocomponents: The fairing kit they make looks beautiful. It comes with the lights, turn signals and clip on style handlebars and runs about $1600. When finished, it really does the X1 justice; however, installing the kit can be...trying. I personally do not own the kit. I looked into it a little better than a year ago and talked to some people about it, including Tat at American Sport Bike, Folsom Harley, who has installed one and one private owner. They all said the kit was less than spectacular quality and required a bit of fabrication to make it fit right. So if you're into a challenge, it may be something for you. It's also rumored that Harley will be selling the kit as well. Hope that helps. Vik |
