For the second time during my morning commute a blue XB12R has gone past me on Rte 3 N in Southern NH. First time, the rider slowed to give a wave before hittin' the gas. This morning the rider blasted by me like I was chained to a fence post... and I was doin' 85! If the person is a BBW, please stand up. If anyone knows who they are, please say "hey" for me... and ask 'em to please sign in. |

next time he tries to blow by you like you weren't there just move over towards him a bit. i bet he slows down, then you can get to know him/her better. |

Um, that is the dumbest thing I've heard all day. Never risk you or another riders life like that. Bad idea. How about just a wave.. |

I thought the same thing, Drift. Jeremyh, rethink that approach... If the rider is blasting like that in morning commuter traffic he/she is rollin' the dice. You wouldnt want to feel responsible if the rider ate it 'cause he/she thought you were coming in their lane. You know how quickly things can happen at those speeds. |

Tunes, I lived in Lowell, Ma. and Fort Devens back in the '80s and rode my 700 Interceptor all the time in that traffic. I was amazed at the dumb crap I saw on a daily basis as everyone drove 95 plus in the breakdown lane even! I loved it in N.E. but the drivers aren't all there sometimes. Maybe sit up on an overpass waiting for him one morning and flag him down as he goes by. I know how ya feel wanting someone with a bike like yours to BS with and compare notes if you will...... |

"just move over towards him a bit" I'd slow down like it was all good then reach over, take your key, and throw it over the median . Especially if I thought you did it on purpose. |

Santacruz: i thought just the opposite when i was out in Cali for a 10 day trip a few weeks ago. Compared to MA the drivers were unbelievably well behaved to us! I couldn't stop mentioning it to the wife. Rarely did anyone speed or drive erratically, we all just had a good flow going. I was in San Fran, Napa, Monterey, Yosemite, etc so we were in quite a few places. Maybe down south towards LA, etc its bad out there? You do 70 or so on the Pike out here and its like you're standing still. My Jeeper doesn't do speed well, i like that it aggrivates people. I'm like a grandma in that thing except i'm doing the legal limit! |

Typeone they were refering to SoCal I'm sure. I don't know much about up North, but down in SoCal people drive like they are nuts. I fit right in. |

Try driving thru Sun City West and getting attacked by maroon Buicks (the staff car of the octogenerian set) with little blue hairs trying to see over the steering wheels. That will test your reaction time. |

Don't you also have to dodge the golf carts of those that could no longer pass the license test? |
