love it in cheese dip, out of the can, or on taco salads...good stuff......

Rotel...fond memories. Was just telling my wife about it last week. Needless to say she is having a good laugh about you guys mentioning it on the BWB.

Have not seen it in the stores in the Milwaukee area yet. Hope to someday. Perhaps I am just shopping in the wrong part of town. LOL

Hey Jeremy-

I'm seriously considering a Rotel RCD-1072 CD Player, at the moment. I currently own ALL ADCOM equipment. But Adcom components aren't the quality that I've come to expect. The Rotel line looks and sounds quite impressive.

I'd taken a looong look at Rotel gear awhile back. Out of my price range however. Looks like very nice gear - would love to have a full Rotel home theater .... one can always dream, right : )

I am running a vintage Sansui G-5700. Talk about fantastic sound quality. Congrats on the Rotel.

as far as the quality of sound and build there are only two other names that i would even consider buying. Krell and Moon. If you have heard either of them you would know what i mean.

I can honestly say that for the money i would never settle for anything less than Rotel. This is bar far the most consistent, clear and relaxed sounding receiver i have ever heard. I guess spending at least 1200 bucks for a good set of front speakers helps also.
I plan on purchasing the Rotel 1040 DVD player around christmas to replace my samsung.(must have matching equip.
For any of you looking for a good set of speakers that wont kill your mortgage payment i recommend Paradigm Reference Studio speakers.
NO they are no Martin Logans but damn unbeatable for the cash.

That amount is not too far from my total budget for home theater sound : )

i'm sorry. Well considering that Movies and motorcycles is about all i do anymore i thought it was a great time to invest in some HI-FI. I have gotten tired over the years of " so so " equip. It is pretty sad when you start spending $10/ft on speaker cables though. between my two front speakers, receiver, and cables alone i have spent enough to pay for half of my motorcycle.
( I have an sickness that can't be helped )

I think they call it "male species syndrome"

oh well you only live once.

although i don't have it quite as bad as my co-worker/friend.

i won't go into the details of his home theatre but i will just say that for as much as he has spent you would expect the thing to be driveable and out handle the fastest car on the planet.
