GreenEric, I have also met and spoken with a few riders that have hit deer. And they two cut the deer in half. Toasted the front of there bike. It amazes me that a person can walk away. Loni, I'm off on friday and lets ride! Hopefully I will remember to call you. Kim are you in for Friday morning take off? Come to the house thursday.???Deb (in the clouds)Driving topless |

Greeneric Thanks for the thorough reporting on the deer job. It amazes me that a person can survive that type invasive impact. Proper gear is worth its weight in skin. No ticket! You're good! Very good. See ya all soon FunJimmy |

I don't know that I will be able to ride with you guys. I went on a short day ride, nothing major - very slow pace, lots of stopping a couple of weeks ago and I thought I was going to die by the time I got back home. Every little expansion joint that I hit just killed my abdomen. I think I may opt for the haul your bikes in the truck to Canada thingy! I will let you know by the end of our race weekend how I am feeling and what I will be up to. Kimberlie |

Sold my M2. Guy is coming to take her home tomorrow. Guess I'll need to get crackin to have a scoot for Border Raid. Gotta admit, I was a little bit jealous when he threw his leg over her and stroked her tank. FWIW. He says he likes the WWBD and Bob's picture on the air filter. What's up with that? |

It sounded like Larry and Doug were going to meet at Paradise and go for a ride Sunday morning, not sure what Chris K. has planned. I am working for Team O. (Message edited by roc on August 20, 2005) |

A guy I work with has to sell his 2001(?) Triumph Sprint. Maybe 8,000 miles on it. Babied the thing. Wants $8000 Cdn. A heck of a deal! |

Not really, unless 8000 Cdn is about 4000 american.Shop around and see.Sprints have been going cheap--as have all used bikes.I never even had a bite when I offered mine up for sale.Kept it. No disrespect intended,Eric,as I keep abreast of price as I have one and am shopping for a cheap one to harvest a motor out of so I can put on my ported head with minimum down time. |

I bought a bike today. Red. With hard bags. Sexy. Her name is Gina. ST3. Need to get 600 breakin miles on her this week and bribe the service manager to squeeze me in for a 1000 km service to keep the new warrenty good. He says there's no opening til after Labor Day, but....maybe, just maybe if I drop Gina off Saturday he can squeeze her in next week before Border Raid. I was there to buy a 2004 demo with full factory warentee, but the motor was for crap at cruising speed and they said yeah there was a new ECU for that bike and they would order it from Italy, but that was 3 weeks. And it was a factory demo with 3500, I assume hard miles on it. Read, journalists and would-be bikers trashing the hell out of it cuz it weren't their bike. Kinda scared me. So, ok. I have gone off the deepend but Lord Have Mercy, she is soooooo sexxxxxxy! Scrubbed up the Michelin Pilot Sports this afternoon. Will head to Paradise Buell tomorrow at 10:00 AM to see if anybody wants to ride. Gotta keep it under 100 MPH in 6th til 600 mile mark. Handles tons better than the M2 or the XB9R I had for awhile. And even with water cooling, it feels so light! YO, this Duck has a WET CLUTCH and doesnt sound like it's falling apart! Whooooo Hooooo! Of course, the Factory hardbags they throw in weren't at the dealers like they were supposed to be, so they had to order them. And the 2004/2005 service manual at $250 had to be ordered from the Mother Country, ( the Portuguese version was in stock! E eu falo portuguese muito bem, mas............). Guess I need to go online to find out who carries all this crap in the US. Fingers crossed to make Border Raid......... Oh yeah the guy picked up my M2 this morning. It all went so fast I forgot to kiss her goodbye. So long Buella. Thanks for the ride. |

Was all suited up and ready to ride over to Paradise to meet up with the BRAG club for a ride when, What the F***? The brand new Ducati wouldn't start. I cussed the salesman, I cussed Italy. I drove to Paradise to get an adaptor for my Battery Tender and met up with the group who were all over the new Ulysis sitting there. Well, I saw it come in on Friday and tried it and thought "I'd need to be 6 inches taller to ride this thing". Seems I left the key in the Park position overnite and wore the battery down. Wouldn't cha think Park was a good place to leave a vehicle? Turns out Off and Lock are good and Park is bad cuz it leaves the circuits open and a couple little lights on and drains the battery. Oh well, all fixed up for battery tender. Started up with just a 30 minute charge. A delightful 200 mile afternoon running thru the cool Coast Range and even cooler 101 and home along the Nehalem. Great breakin ride. 2nd 3rd and 4th. Lots of shifting, lots of ups and downs in the permitted rev zone. Great brakes. Great handling, though I sometimes had to shove it the last little bit through a curve. Light. Buzzy on the grips. Nice torque in the 4000 to 6000 (permissable) range. 108 mph in 6th at only 6000. What's it gonna do at 11000? |

Got that pic of Gina hanging in the workshop. Over the bench with the dremel and the (S1) heads from the Sporty now fitting the T-Storm pistons from FMJ. The Sportster will live again next year and I have no need of another bike. Not even a Sprint. That one has been gnawing at me for a few weeeks (while I am totally unable to even think about it) but if its a common deal I'll sleep easier letting it go. Congrats on the new ride, Shotgun. Looking forward to seeing it, and you all, soon. |

Hey Donkeys! Just a quick report from Sandy Ago... YEA BABY! Theryn is ready to move here after finding that he's a natiral surfer. Little dude was able to get up in just a couple trys, and now we can't get him off the beach. Took him to Tijuana to show him that we are not really poor. Little kids trying to sell him gum had him a little sad, then mad. "Dad, why" was the main question. Good for a kid to see the other side. It worked for Buddah. Shotgun, congrats on another great scoot. Lots of love from down south. sooner, Galen |

Shotgun, Congrats on the new scooter!!! The ST3 is a very good choice, I want one too. But I'll have to stick to my ugly old M2 for now. I found that the best spot for the key is in my pocket, doesn't discharge any electricty there. Glad to hear your enjoying her. But watch out, an italian women in your life may make the wife jealous. |

Spud, jealous mite be good. Gina has about 1000K on her now and ready for her first lube job. Moto Corso is booked ahead 3 weeks, so my local EDR Performance Racing will do it for me. And I bet the price is better too. A jealous woman may have to try harder to please her man. With the emphasis on "harder". Give Trixie a squeeze. I miss you guys. NO chance of showing up in Pinticton? |
