Robert, don't do anything too harsh while your angry about something...This site has all the troubles of any other site that is ran by and used by alot of different people and personalities...I haven't always agreed with how things are handled on this site, but I can tell you the people running it are honest and are trying their best and will even admit when they make mistakes....You will be losing out on the most knowledgable Buell site out there, and some of the best people around...Just my 0.02$  Larry | ||

If i came off too glib about it, you have my sincere apologies. No deletion Baybueller. There has been some banter back and forth about this; There was a profile flip-flop and some database hokey-pokey, so that now, all you see is a newly generated basic profile. Henrik, this began with my questioning of the profile section. just suprised my post was deleted. I have been with this site for 2 years and enjoy the input. My point was/is that if I know the area the poster is from it is more relevent to me. | ||

Baybueller, I've probably had half of my posts deleted over the years! I can't even count the number of times I've either voluntarily left or been suspended!  I don't know what your post was about the profile area but I do know that's been a known problem for a few days now. It's clear that it's a technical problem and not a personal or political thing aimed at anyone. It's just a technical problem. Maybe Blake or someone else deleted your post because they got frustrated hearing about the profile area problem. No big deal! Anyway, I hope you don't leave over just a deleted post about the profile area. | ||

Bay, did an entire thread go away? If there is a need to move a lot of posts, it is pretty painful to move them individually, but easy to move a thread. You may have been "collateral damage". We try not to do that, but there are times it happens, especially of 14 of 15 posts need to go, and 1 post is "harmless". As others indicated, there was an issue with the site, and until we get it worked out, the profiles have been "muted". | ||

John (M2me), I'm a bit sensitive when it comes to criticism of how the board is maintained. Not sure everyone perceived your comments above as a joke. Glad to hear they were in jest though. My favorite smilies for indicating that I am joking are the  (shortcut just type " ;) " without the quotation marks) and  (shortcut = ":joker:" again without the quotation marks. ). | ||

There are a couple of posts that I've put in, but a day later they're gone. Nothing controversial, so it's either a glitch in the posting machine or, as much as I hate to say it, good old User Error. I think the pattern is when I use the browser "Back" button after posting. Maybe the same for you? | ||

Easy, The posting feature requires that you basically click the "preview post message" button, then again to actually post. Keep trying and by all means, please report back if the glitch is there. BTW, thanks for the feedback. | ||
