Ski fit his and J's into his. But I can't remember if we have the same bed. It's got one of those bed extenders, but I prolly won't use it, just leave the tail gate down if need be... I'll have to try and make Vegas so I can see you! |

DO IT! See if she'd like to make the trip with you... Tell her to get a set of those spandex w/ gel in the cheeks shorts that bicyclers use... I'll be getting a pair for Rachel AND the touring pillion. Rachel and I will have a room with only two people so if you want, we can room together to defray the cost of the Luxor. BTW... The roads in Socal that we'll be on are AWESOME. (Message edited by m1combat on August 11, 2005) |

Charlieboy, we're on for an apple pie a-la-mode stop in Julian on Sat 9/10. based on current itinerary that day we SHOULD be in Julian at 4 p.m., altho this ETA may change a little between now and the ride. in any event, it'll be in that neighborhood somewhere, and from there we'll head to Ocotillo Wells for a photo shoot to take advantage of the late afternoon lighting. and THEN what??? the Buelling Man celebration. be there or be not round. The Devil wanted a place on earth. Sort of a summer home: A place to spend his vacation Whenever he wanted to roam. So he picked out Arizona. A place both wretched and rough. Here the climate was to his liking And the cowboys were hardened and tough. He dried up the streams in the canyons and ordered no rain to fall: He dried up the lakes in the valleys, Then baked and scorched it all. Then over his barren desert He transplanted shrubs from Hell. The cactus, thistle and prickly pear -- The climate suited them well. Now, the home was much to his liking. But animal life, he had none: So he created crawling creatures That all mankind would shun. First he made the rattlesnake. With its forked poisonous tongue: Taught it to strike and rattle And how to swallow its young. Then he made Scorpions and Lizards And the ugly old Horned Toad. He placed spiders of every description Under rocks by the side of the road. Then he ordered the sun to shine hotter. Hotter and hotter still. Until even the cactus wilted And the old Horned Toad looked ill. Then he gazed on his earthly kingdom. As any creator would: He chuckled a little up his sleeve And admitted that it was good. 'Twas summer now and Satan lay By a prickly pear to rest. The sweat rolled off his weary brow. So he took off his coat and vest. "By Golly," he finally panted "I did my job too well. I'm going back where I came from Arizona is hotter than Helll!" |

HEY XB OWNERS. Arrowhead HD has the pro series suspension kit on the closeout table. You can buy it at cost or best offer. This Friday is a bike & car show with in store deals (sales). Anyone need it? I'm back from vacation but may have to go to Prescott this weekend. After that I should be around for rides. I'll watch for rides on both threads. See ya |

Carey: no worries, we'll catch you next week the Spars right? We did catch the A55 end of the storm. Andrew and myself had a great ride, virtually no traffic and no blinding sunlight upon the sunrise. Met up with some riders at the top all Twins, kinda cool so I took a pic. Road conditions were good, not to much washout. Saturday night Dagwood (Dan) and myself ran up S.mountain, we got to the top as the sun was setting a nice pic with the Buells in the dark. Then off to the pavilions where we had the pleasure of having James stop by acccompanied by his friend whose name has slipped my mind. Next weeks ride will be up to Prescott via Yarnell through the Spars and maybe Mingus mountain depending on time restraints for others. Meet up time and place will be discussed through the week if interested post or PM with thoughts. Later J The attack of the TWINS and Buell silohuete TORTILLA FLATS

Howdy Guys...My first time posting to your area....This is my last ditch effort to entice you great folks(and I know you are 'cause Ferris said so!) into coming to Oktoberfast!.... I remember the original attempt to do this was somewhat thwarted because someone accused Kalifornicate of thinking it was the "Golden State"....well,it is!...LOL...but not for what you think! What makes it THAT way is not the housing costs or the high cost of anything...rather it is the incredible kindness and generosity of some of the people(much like alot of YOU people) that call this their home... I'm talking about people like Jerry and Denise and Al and Joanne and Don and Arlene(Ar'lean') Sabatino and on and on.Jerry and Denise open their homes to us unselfishly and ask US to come there and stay, and drink their beer and use their stuff and they feed us and let us plod through their home with no issue and no agenda other than to see us have a great time and get to know them for the wonderful people they are....It just DOESN'T get any better than this...just ask ANY of the past participants....go ahead....I'll wait...........................................................OK...convinced ?????...you should be !!!And since I feel the cost of the trip to The Giant Sequoias might be prohibitive to some(God only knows I certainly don't have alot of extra money these days!)If you examine the cost versus the "value received" this may be the cheapest "Best Time" you can have legally! Consider the Lodge cost.... Friday night.....cost...$0 Saturday night...cost...$99.00 Sunday night.....cost...$99.00 Now,what do we get for this $200 bucks???? How about 2 dinners from a fine Chef..at minimum worth probably about $25.00 each..2 lunches worth at minimum $15.00 each and 2 breakfasts worth about $10.00 each......adds up to about $100.00 bucks..subtract from $200.oo bucks equals 50 bucks a night,to stay with the oldest living things on earth..no,not me and Ferris!!..but the most INCREDIBLE trees you'll see around. And to hang with your Bueller friends and if you bring kids the lodge will show them one of the most fun and educational times they could spend in the Outdoors...Now...how could you NOT come??????? Got ME!!!!so if you might reconsider, and were all hoping you do,please check out the Oktoberfast 2005 thread and reserve your space at the Montecito Lodge...and we'll be awaiting you with outstretched hands(holding some GREAT beers) for your arrival.....Cheers!!!!

Hey all! Carey and myself had a great ride to Prescott today. We ended up running the spars 4 times!! We also paid a visit to a local resident of Prescott Don(M1COMBAT) good seeing you Don. We did miss James and his buddy, what happened James? I believe Bill crossed our path, was that you Bill? We were on the two bikes before Wilhoit, red firebolt and a matte ninja. Anyways those who could'nt make it, you were missed but there will be plenty more riding in the near future. JUST A REMINDER: The meet and greet ride for our new club will be this weekend starting at Signal Butte and Southern north of the freeway at the Mobil 6-6:30am, if you cant make the ride your more than welcome to stop by for a BBQ provided by Chandler HD/BUELL from 11 TO 1PM. hope to see some new and familiar faces. Here's some pics from todays ride. Later J |

Yep I missed you. I must have been into the ride and did not see you or you were mixed in with other bikes? I didn't think you would be up here that fast. I was flying to Yarnell to try and meet there. I rode Yarnell pass a couple times to kill some time, met a Buell owner from Avondale, then went back to ride the spars a couple of times. Catch you next time. |
