What's the best way to clean the stock filter ? I've blown it thru with compressed air but it still looks dirty. Can I wash it with something ? Pls - no gasoline suggestions from the suicide crew |

No, you replace the stock filter. Get a K&N if you like cleaning filters. |

Stock = Replace only. Second the suggestion to get the K&N...I have had one on my car for the last 10 years and it is still in pretty good shape after at least 50 cleanings... |

Yeah, get the K&N. Also... Don't use compressed air with the K&N . They make a cleaning kit that also comes with some spray on oil. The filter and the cleaning kit work EXCELLENT. |

I got a City X with a chopped inner air box. I went with the Fram Air Hog. Looks better than the K&N and peforms just as well. |

P/N 29388-02YA It's the same as the FRAM # PH 4967, which fits all of the XBs and the Blast. (Message edited by dagwood on August 15, 2005) |

are the air-hogs one-use filters or can they be cleaned and re-oiled like the k&n? |

They are reusable, just like the K&N. |

How the hell does it fit the Blast and XB ? Are they not completely different? |

By K&N stuff do you mean spray on oil? If so then yes...the K&N oil will work just fine. Not sure rocketsprink. Check the Fram website. Same part number for both XBs and Blasts. |

the reason the XB and the blast have the same part number cause its for the OIL filter not the air filter. |
