Is the extended warranty transferable to a buyer? If so, how does that work? |

Yes, contact the dealer with the new owner's info. |

I've read here that you have to pay for the time it takes to diagnose the problem. Then the warranty covers parts and labor thereafter. Only what I've heard. |

The extended warranty is exactly as good as the dealer that will support it, at the time they will be required to support it. If you are confident that your particular dealer will give you great support 5 years from now, then the extended warranty is probably a good deal. |

So, if the dealer has since stopped dealing buells then its likely crap? Does warranty work have to be done at the dealer it was bought from if it is transferred to a new buyer? |

Who knows. It depends on the contract you signed, and the parties you signed it with. There are a lot of different "extended warranties" out there. Know what you are getting... |

"You must return you motorcycle to the selling dealer to determine the cause of failure, If this is not possible, call the service center." They must obtain an auth code prior to working on the bike. "All you ever pay is the standard $50 deductible per visit for covered repairs." "Accessories are covered too." Toruing packs, covers, radios, saddlebags travel trunks and more." You also receive reimbursment for rental vehicles if you are stranded far from home even for pick ups lodging and meals. Fully transferrable for free. I was quoting the literature. are you saying the extended warranty is tied to a particular dealer? can you go to any dealer? or only the guy you bought the bike from? |
