Okay, lots of interest in the XB12X...neat bike if that fits into your scheme of things. I don't need a bike like that, and if I did I would be looking at the parts from it to transform an XB9/12S that would fit me. I am more interested in the XB12Ss. What I want to know, when someone rides the XB12Ss, how much more different does it handle from the the XB9/12S with the longer wheelbase and slightly extended rake? Although my XB9 feels pretty stable when I exceed the ton, does the XB12Ss feel better at speed? I am thinking Hooligan bike for my current XB and touring bike with the XB12Ss. I know this is a seat of the pants question, and all the magazines will eventually have their say, but I would sure like to know what kind of animal we are looking at in the XB12Ss. Inquiring minds want to know |

My dealer knows to call me as soon as one rolls off the truck for a test drive. Love my xb9s so much, only issue is leg room for me on those long rides with my Harley friends. Do ya think Buell would make an exception and sell a black SS with black wheels? That would look awesome! |

I was thinking the same thing. Thought adding the dark smoke plastic from the new 9X and black wheels would make the Ss one sharp looker. |

I think black wheels should be an option on all the models. I personally do not like the amber at all. Hard Corps |

I dont know how it handles but sitting on one feels great, I could not believe how much bigger it is. Also they have improved the seat, feels like memory foam!!! |

In its favour, it is a thousand dollars less than the Ulysses and it has many of the same features does it not? Primary exceptions being the suspension and the triple tail thingy. Nothing wrong with saving a grand, eh my friends? For me it is like the difference between regular iced tea and sweet tea. I like both. El Toado Verde |

Can antyone Photoshop us a Black SS with Black wheels? I'd say if enough of us request black wheels, Buell may open the door? Even the Blue SS with black wheels would look tuff. |

And while they are photoshoping the Black/black SS, would they be so kind as to photoshop for me the "Sunset Orange" ,(looks red), SS with white rims? Thank you |

Take that all black SS but replace the body work with the Kick Ash parts. |

Agave_juice : Nice work! So Buell discontinued the 52" wheelbase??? I love my wheelies on my short bike but would like the new smoother trans. Seems to be the only major difference. |

I hope they (Buell or Corbin) will offer a lower seat as an option/accessory at some point for those of us who are vertically challenged...or simply getting harder to throw the leg over as we get older. This one is on my wish list! |

So Buell discontinued the 52" wheelbase??? The 9R, 12R, 12S, 9SX, and 12Scg all have 52" wheel bases. |

Read somewhere else on this site that the Ss is reveiwed in the current Rider magazine. I too am interested in a more street oriented sport touring ride than the Uly. I just would hope accessories like hard bags and a taller windsheild may be in the works for the Ss. |

The CityX Kick Ash model has those silver areas (lower cowl, sides of fly screen) blacked out too. Makes a big difference in looks. Thanks Frank |

Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 The 'magic wand' & 'magnetic lasso' selection tools are great for picking out the areas you want modified. You have to play with the tolerance settings to keep the task efficient without grabbing unwanted pixels. I like the 'add to selection' mode, so you don't have to get it all in one shot. |

Nice work Agave. Would you mind doing a black bike with red wheels? I always liked Ducs and the Buell tubers with contrasting wheels like that. Might look awesome on an XB12Ss. |
