I'm headed out on September 8th. I'll be leaving Prescott VERY shortly after 5:00 and then riding the 250 miles to Vegas. We'll meet Jerry and some more Buellers in Vegas. From there... To Jerry's house in Lake Isabella on Friday the 9th, the 10th will be the "Buelling man Celebration" (Just like Burning man, but probably a little less nudity (but maybe not  ...)) and then I'll ride back here on the 11th. | ||

Don, Oh yea, I'd love to make it, but I've got the BRAG Colorado ride in two weeks, Chicks Hwy191 ride the week after that, and I've still got Miles and miles of twisty roads to explore over here before the snow flies. (yea, that white stuff that falls out of the sky) While I surely do miss hanging AND riding with Mr. Yamamotosan and Miss D, there will be other rides and other days. I know where he lives, he cannot escape me! I would like to meet him at the Kansas border and ride with him through Colorado, but it looks like most of the trip will be superslab. I'm not too fond of interstates, unless I have to be somewhere, Right Now... I'm also still involved in moving all my stuff from AZ to NM. This keeps my weekends busy as I'm over there on weekends, and on the road during the week.   | ||

Depending on my work schedule, I'll be meeting you at the 74 junction and riding to Ocotillo with you. I can't make the whole trip, but that portion is fun anyway!!! A little off subject, but, I got a new Buell hauler...  My cousin at Sonora Nissan made us an offer we couldn't refuse. Here's a shot of our house that I promised long ago.  I'm so excited about the truck. It's our first new car purchase and we got a screamin' deal off manufacturer auction. I already did the math and it's only going to run $45 to join you all in Phoenix for the rides. Let's hope gas doesn't go to $3 a gal. like they're projecting... | ||

BuellJ, We want to come out next month. I'll keep an eye on your ride schedule... M1, yea Saturday, prolly in Julian...I need to check with FB and make sure he's going that way. If he's heading to Occotillo, he pretty much has to... Bill, Yea, that's round trip. Not to shabby for the V8 though if you ask me. Yea, that's a sun roof too. We lucked out. She was supposed to be a Nissan fleet vehicle so she has every option/package available. For whatever reason, it didn't go out and she wasn't scheduled for delivery to any particular dealer; so Nissan auctioned it. My local dealer bought it at auction, and because my cousin is the finance manager, he passed the savings along. Otherwise, no way in hell could I ever have afforded it. I'm happy, now if only Elizabeth would let me drive it!!! LOL!  | ||

Bart, Colorado will NOT be on the slab. we overnight in Guffey (basically Cripple Creek, just west of Co. Springs), then early morning assault on Pikes Peak, then Phantom Rd (old railroad grade, narrow, tunnels, follows river) south to 50 near Canon City, then 50 west across the state. i rode some of 50 last year with JB2, and it don't suck too hard. MIGHT do Black Canyon of the Gunnison, MIGHT do Grand Mesa, but gotta watch our timing. would love to see MORE of Colorado, but gotta do this whole gig in ten days, which ain't near enough time. so Bart, know you're busy riding and all (and damn glad to hear it!), but here's my latest Ferris Bueller Rides Again Tour marketing ploy: All the way from Dubuque, Iowa (by way of Appleton, Wisconsin)... anyone in Tucson interested in taking the ride on the 27th to salt river canyon let me know. the info is in the desert thunder bikers board. they are going to meet in mesa but i plan to go up 77 and meet in globe. its just me at the moment so it would be great to have some more people coming up from tucson. | ||

Hey just so you all know... A room for four at the Luxor (where we'll be staying in Vegas for the FBRaT) looks to run about $180. Rachel and I will be heading out of Prescott at 5:15. It's only 251 miles as google tells it so we should get there by 9:00 if we don't take too long getting fuel (damn... I ALWAYS put two LL's on that word...). We're heading out Thursday night (The Eighth I think it was). We'll be riding with Jerry until Sunday morning (Charlie is meeting the group on Saturday in Julien CA as far as I know). Sunday morning we'll probably have a good breakfast then head back via the 78. A fun ride to say the least. Mostly straight, but really cool dunes . Anyone up for it? Rachel and I so far are getting a room to ourselves, but we could take two more if that's all that show up (Unless those two want to swing a room by themselves...). | ||
