Well... Had to do it. Put a deposit on an orange one. Santa Cruz HD/Buell said the shipping date is Sept 2. From all initial accounts the bike is a hit. Dealers are only getting a few each and seem to have little say in color choice. I know there have been those who were disappointed the bike was not more dirt oriented, but it is everything I was looking for. Comfort, longer travel suspension, updated tranny and belt, retained the Buell handling, distinctive styling and low maintenance, windscreen and acc plugs included. And it is priced correctly between the Stroms and the GS and KTM. It is the bike I can see myself riding all over the freakin' place! The last few years have been a real bitch. I deserve this bike!  | ||

Jeez! I just got thru reading the thread at Sacborg started by Reg Kittrelle's ride review. I don't get why the angst over Buell. Especially the newly released XBX. Hey, it's bike. It's not a religion! Some of the comments dumping on the positive review and on anything Buell are amazing. What is the point of bashing something that is so subjective? So a stock Buell won't threaten the land speed record this year. So this other bike will do this better...or that. So my dad is stronger than yours. What a bunch of adolescent yap!  | ||

Limper, Congrats, I too have a deposit on a black XB12X! I also notice alot of negative comments toward HD and Buell. People seem to want to classify the XB12X. I'm like, who cares? If it suits the buyers needs, and said buyer has a big grin on his/her face, then it's a hit. Cheers, | ||

Livermore HD/B just got in their first Uly, orange, and me and my bro went over to check it out. Vera, vera nice. Tall, but not too tall, and the beaver tail is pretty slick. Am I going to be the first one to pint out that with a duck bill and a beaver tail, that the Ulysses is a platypus?? XB12X Platysses? Ok, I'm really going to stop contracting words now... Black one is on the way...can't wait. | ||
