Jose.. I've GOT two beautiful little cards (thank you Blake), just waiting for the opportunity to be traded in for a pair of BADWEB Race passes.. Sitting in a place of honor, near the door, but safe from anything but intentional attack. (this is so cool).. So Robin and I are going, that's positive. Got a hotel room lined up. Now, it's just a matter of waiting.. I think we're going to head down on Thursday evening, so we can start 'scouting' on Friday morning. Yep, bringin' the camera and 2 gig worth of disk space.. Now, where are those good photo points? |

If you'll donate another $59 ea to the award fund, I'll put them in the mail. See paypal instructions above in red. And of course we expect to see a lot of your photos and comentary on BadWeB. |

Does anyone know if there will be a 'hospitality' area at VIR? Just curious as far as making plans for storing our riding gear while at the track. Robin already had a good (new) helmet and gloves stolen from her last year. |

The AMA will have a hospitality area, you could probably store things with them. Buell/Brag I'm not aware of any plans on their part. |

We still have four BadWeB sponsor passes to Mid Ohio AMA races. All weekend including practice day on Friday and paddock pass is included. A $55 donation to the BadWeB racers fund will have the passes on your doorstep via FedEx in timely fashion. We also have four passes for Road Atlanta. I believe that the VIR passes are already spoken for. See... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/4062/91000.html for donation submission information. At this point the passes are first come first served. Don't let them go to waste! |

At this point it is obvious that we won't be paying out the full award fund this year. To date our payout obligations comprise $1,500, with $1,200 of that going to Dave Ebben, stand-in for Sean Higbee at Pike's Peak and Road America, and the remaining $300 to Jeff Johnson at Road America. Suggest we roll our fund over and continue to build it up even more for next year. The thinking being that we may eventually be able to build up a very serious award? If any contributors have any other suggestions, please let the ideas flow forth. |

I agree with the rolling it over.. let it build year to year.. Heck, in a not so long time, we could be offering some serious scratch for the riders! Some serious incentive to compete.. hehehehe.. I like it.. how about the rest? |

Cool thing is that paypal is paying 3% interest on the balance last I checked. That is cool. Helps make up for the approx $100 that ebay stole from us. Yes I mean stole. They did not honor their promise to provide a referrer credit for all purchases that were referred from another site via the proper referral code, which all those who navigated to the calendar sale via BadWeB had to have used. Really disappointing. ebay = greedy, unreasonable, inaccessible, jerks. Of course ebay owns paypal. |

Blake, Roll it for the next season(s.) Maybe, just maybe, in a few years we'll have a decent contingency program. PayPal really puts a knot in my shorts. Has anyone ever looked at the PayPal v. Ebay affiliation? A two-headed money grabbing monster. Cut you on both ends. G2 |

Are they running FX at Road Atlanta this year and if so, will any Buells be running. I'm planning on going and would love to see some Buells earn some of my hard earned money. |

Roll over to next year. Too bad Barnes sold/is selling his Buell. So is it known who will be running next year? What about this Pirelli sales guy ... he had an impressive XB supposedly with 160hp and winning local races ... ? |

glad to hear that it will be rolled over to next year. Yes, I made some inuendos about what might happen to the fund and for that I apologize. I might have some other issues wth you Blake but I was wrong to question your integrity regarding this. (Message edited by buelliedan on August 19, 2005) |

Current status of the fund is shown updated above. If I've missed or miscalculated anyone's contributions to the fund, please let me know. I may have missed recording a check or two if it was sent late. Stupid me forgot to make photocopies the last time I went to the bank. |

Hi guys, It's too bad I didn't give AMA FX a try this year with my FUSA Thunderbike set up XB. I think I'd be down a few bHP, but I'm first gonna need to crawl by just making the field and qualify. I just wanted to say thanks to all that contributed. I hope this Contingency is in place again in '06, because my plans are to take crack at FX next year. Hope to contribute more to this site over the winter. See you guys around. Greg Avello FUSA #21 |

Bump . What's going on exactly this year? How much more do we need? Will we be required to throw more at the AMA? |

Yes, we'll need to submit another $1.5K for the AMA administrative fee. What our award program will consist of for 2006 remains to be seen pending some kind of announcement by the Buell teams as to their intended level of participation if any. Stay tuned. |

The fund needs replenishing. Please see notes atop page for donation info. We'll need to submit another $1,500 to AMA at least a couple weeks prior to Daytona. |

OK - why not figure out a way to distribute the contingency $$$ Problem is we have national: AMA (FX) and AMA/MotoST - 3 classes. Also regional (CCS, AFM, WERA) plus local organizations like WSMC. Some of the above are elegible for Factory contingency money. I think the most PR is going to come out of AMA/FX but with the France family behind MotoST, it might become an interesting season. Whatchya all think? |

If we could raise some serious funds, I'd be all for the FX deal. But short of being able to raise at least another $14K so we could offer at least $2K/race, I don't think FX is worth the entrance fee of $1500. Of course we could just avoid the official AMA sanctioned award route and just get the word out to the folks racing Buells. I like the idea of getting on board with the MotoST series. Or, we could just award it all to the Buell racing team with the best cartoon logo. |
