FREAKS!!!! Let me just clear the air here. First of all that look's more like J.J. & Larry's idea of a rained out work day. Now we know why the garage doors where shut last Tuesday. Secondly, you'd only catch me in a black teddy! |

Somebody get that Jerry guy a bottle of that anti-monkey butt powder, geezzz's!! Welcome Fester. How well does that street fighter handle? I got a buddy up at K.C. Creations, & for the most part they look real cool, and go real fast, straight. But at slow speeds and in corner's they don't give me much confidence. That might also have to do with the fact that if I screwed up I have to sale my kids to pay for one! Any how just wanted your take on the subject. |

Thanks for the compliments on the bike guys,I will look forward to seeing you out on a Friday night. Zues to answer your question that sounds kinda right, I mean you are taking a nice handling sport bike with a suspension and gutting it. I would imagine that it handles as well as any other rigid, you are not going to go out and be able to carve up the road like on a stock buell but if I wanted that I would have keep the S1W intact. All I can say I love to ride it, and it looks more original than the Big Dogs at KCC. If any of the other people on here are thinking about building a streetfighter let me know I will be more than happy to let you pick my brain for what thats worth, and I can fill you in on some lessons learned from my build. I also have a alot of left over parts I may be able to help some of you out with those as well. |

Fester, I may need your knowledge in the near future. I am planning on turning my XB into a streetfighter. Thunder (Jeff) let us know what the plan is for meeting up with Ferris. Ferris you should have a demo day for us KC boys on the borrowed new bike. |

Well I finally did it...After almost 30 years on a motorcycle and 21 of those years on street bikes I finally went and got a Motorcycle License.. (a lot of pressure from the Hanses brothers) Anyways after about a 1 1/2 hours in line...I get signed up and the instructor came and got me...we walk outside and it starts to rain....So after some begging and assuring him I have and can ride in the rain he agrees to let me ride the course..Peace of cake, but on the last obstacle...fast stop....I almost go down because the parking lot is oily and wet...I saved the bike and was able to keep my feet up..so I passed...but it wasn't pretty and I doubt the instructor will let anybody else talk him into testing in the rain.... So who all if anyone is riding tonight? Sams, JJ, and maybe Drake are all out.... Tim? |

I tried the search feature on this site but had zero luck (TONS of links dont working/"file not found". Does anyone know where I could see some step by step procedures for changing a belt on a XB? I'm still XB-less but someones spreading rubbish on another board... "nd attempting to change a rear tire with that belt drive? We're talking a total disassembly of the rear end (including detaching the exhaust!) that takes about 5 hours to complete. Totally unnecessary." Totally unnecessary was my thoughts exactly when reading his post, I know that's all bs but I just wanted to get a link handy for others. Man theres a lot of BS out there... Thanx, Eric enp83@hotmail.com |
