That is one of the best made buell pipes I have seen. Is it going to have chin mounts in the future when it goes on sale? | ||

Better pics? They don't get any better! That thing is sweeeeeeeeeet! With all the beautiful machining up front, I almost hate to say it, but I'd like a chin fairing version also. It's not to cover your pipe, but to hide the lines and wires. IMHO, Buell is the only naked that doesn't look like a trainwreck, because they stealth away that stuff. Is the whole thing stainless? The ends look AL? Is it made from a stock can? Same performance envelope as before? Better start hiring more help- gonna get busy there soon! | ||

Buellj79 - Thanks. I'm certainly no webmaster as is quite obvious. My goal was to just get the pertinent info out there and make it easy to find. Nadz - The ends are polished billet aluminum. The shell and tubing are stainless steel. The interior design is nearly the same as a stock Drummer but there are no stock parts used. The chin fairing brackets are designed but not made yet. They will add to the final cost and we felt we wanted to show off the can and not hide it for now. Charlie - I'd like it to be jackable, but I haven't tested it yet. The front mount has slots for a perfect fit up and I'm a bit concerned about vertical slippage when jacking. | ||

Now all Kevin needs to do is make a SS header to match the new can! Any prelim pricing on what the SS version will cost with chin spoiler brackets? Drummer gets the nod when it's time for me to buy pipe! Hopefully I can afford the SS version! | ||

I guess what I meant is, are the stock lifting points retained, or will it crease the can? No problem if so. I still want one... Just want to know. | ||

Charlie - As soon as I get mine for testing, I will see how the jacking works out. I can tell you now that the underside radius is different from the stock muffler. I doubt that the shell will crease, but I still need to test it. | ||

I can't stress this enough......you are wasting your money buying headers for my mufflers...the stock header was engineered by top engineers and designed to last the life of your bikes....I have never heard of a stock XB header breaking.....I've offered the perfect combination of fit, durability and function...... the bigger the header tube the slower the exhaust moves to the can....slower is not better.... Hell no, it's a shame to cover up such nice machining, but I still don't like to see random hoses. By the time I have money, Kevin will have a bracket version, I'm sure. I'd definitely cut down that center chin piece if there was something nice under it! | ||

Kevin, you know of anyplaces in teh NC/VA area that will do a HIGH temp powder coating on my tubers race header? It has a small ding in it...but it otherwise good... Just curious... Chase | ||

Chase, Send it to HM Elliot in Mooresville...Harold does all the Nascar stuff and Tilley's stuff as well...get the ding out first and then send it...If you need help call me..828-324-9991 Nadz, Were gonna sell some first to the one's that doesn't really worry about the spoiler mounts and if all goes well then I'll look into getting mounts made, they are designed but I can't make it happen right now....I will let this out, the Drummer SS will be on a 2006 in a Dealers showroom next month...how's that.... Jet Hott makes a polished ceramic coating which will amost match this can. I think it's around 200$ to have your header coated inside and out. takes about two - three weeks turnaround. American Sportbike has em for trade out http://www.americansportbike.com/shop/media/images/product_detail/5015.jpg Couldn't get direct link to sales page to come up, but you can go there by clicking http://www.americansportbike.com/ Clicking store, then buell, the XB12R, then go to exhaust... it's on the bottom left. Jet Hott is a great header coating, just as effective at heat retention as cool-it header wrap, but more attractive and holds up to getting wet a LOT better. | ||

I just couldn't help myself, I had to post this. Will try it on the weekend with stock ecm and see if it can deliver enough fuel (I've never had a pipe fitted to test the limits of fuel delivery on the stock ecm...yet). First short run today on MS indicates more fuel required in the midrange and top-end at WOT, and the bottom end is still as strong as ever in the Drummer tradition. This looks very good  |
