BTW... Is that you in the testing video? NO, but the guy that did most of the test riding was shorter then I am. But let me ask you Don, even on intermediate rain tires, would you br cranked over at full lean in the downpour we saw at Donnington? As far as Glamis goes, very few tires work there anyway, and none of them are really street legal. |

"But let me ask you Don, even on intermediate rain tires, would you br cranked over at full lean in the downpour we saw at Donnington?" LOL . Not bloody likely. That was my point about the sand... The new Dunlop's won't work well in the sand. Not much does. But they'll be fine for dirt and more than fine on pavement compared to most DS tires . I wasn't bitching about the tires... Just making the point that they look like they'll work VERY well for their intended purpose . Try to keep up with a set of Pilot powers on the tarmac... Not. Try to keep up with a set of paddles in the sand... Not. They should work very well anywhere in between though. |

Uh......they made an XB in '97? Well according to this numb skull in Yuma they did: http://adcache.cycletrader.com/5/9/3/80283193.htm Hey Charlie, here's your chance to pick up an S1 cheap! Looks like it could use a little TLC though. |

When and where are we meeting on Sunday? 30% chance of rain BTW... It'll PROBABLY rain about 2:00-3:00... It has been just about every day up here all week. REALLY heavy for fifteen minutes and then nothing. We could ride around until the clouds look ominous and then kick it at my place while we wait for the clouds to blow over... Or we could just ride in the rain... makes no never mind to me . |

I think that guy marked that listing maybe because it was the only option available on trader??? I don't know? But I'm going to give him a call if it's still there when I pay our bikes off! If not, I know where to find another one |

Oh, and nice ride Carey! Sad news. My friend said he saw a totaled Buell XB piloted by a blonde with long hair. He thought it was Elizabeth, it wasn't. I wonder who this other Buell chick in town is??? On another front, I'm trying to get recruiting orders to PHX! I could ride with ya'll finally! Hey, whatever happened to that Buell Chick that was moving to Tucson. I thought she would've been on here by now. Anyone else remember? |

A few of us rode up to the SPARS to meet up with M1. I invited a coworker, he rides (rode) an SV 650. He had never been, nor had I. He decided to lead the pack as we headed for Prescott after stopping at Yarnell. About three turns into the twisties he lost it. He either target fixated on a huge rock wall instead of looking through the turn or he was looking in his mirrors to see where we were or something. Anyway, he crossed the double yellow and jammed the rear brake sending him into the wall. Jeremy was right behind him and said he did a complete flip after bouncing off of it. He shattered his right wrist (both bones). The doc said it was a "unique break" (sound familiar Wycked?). He's scheduled for surgery later this week. Needless to say, he should not have been riding point. Don and his lady were very cool and drove out to pick up the damaged bike and limp it back to his house. They took my buddy to the hospital to get fixed up and then let him hang out at their place until his girlfriend could drive up from the valley. Nevertheless, we had a good time in the twisties despite the mishap. We ate at the Prescott brewery and had a run in with the law (well quasi-law). Seems you can't get a picture of your bike in front of the Courthouse without ruffling some security guard feathers. What a rag that lady was, eh? On the ride home Jeremy's battery decided to quit and he had to call a tow. Damn electrical! All in all it was an interesting day. |

Dang... Sorry to hear about the battery Jeremy... I took a look at the SV... It looks like it needs a set of bars, a tank, the brackets for the light, the cover for the light and a new tail section (or at least the subframe). Probably a few other things. Not too entirely expensive so I assume it will not be totaled by the insurance company. SV parts are pretty inexpensive. The bike itself "seemed" straight to me. It seemed like I could touch the pegs and it never wobbled or anything. It was just really wierd trying to ride with the bars twisted about 30 degrees to the left so I finally just said screw it on trying to keep up with the XB's and just rode with one hand the rest of the way through the spars... Every right turn felt like I was in a gnarley dirt track slide . |

Glad to hear it was a simple fix, sorry about taking off Jeremy but I was burning up and was tired and still had a ways to go. Thanks for the hospitality and interesting conversation Don. Boy you Buell guys are trouble!!! I would like to see the pics I took Jeremy, post them when you get a chance. The Kawi ran great even though I had to baby it, though on the I-10 in Chandler this guy in the smallest Mitsubishi you can buy was f___ing with me so I dropped a gear and opened her up and man what a rush!!! Feeling those secondaries open up shooting up to 130mph!!! and still had alot more to go |

Seems you can't get a picture of your bike in front of the Courthouse without ruffling some security guard feathers. Right now with the terrorist alert and London going on, no you can't. If you think about it, its a damn good thing that someone is paying attention, even if your intent was entirely innocent. Yes, "Unique" is something I am getting sick of hearing. I know my doc has called around and is corrosponding my reports, and Xrays with some of the major bone docs that handle Racers to get ideas on how to deal with it, and they are just as in the dark about it. |

They don't mind pics at all... The litle itch just decided that because she was a rent-a-cop and her boyfriend was there that she didn't want our bikes in the parking lot. She was just being a bitch. Th police officer seemed to agree. He had no issue what so ever with what we were doing, but it wasn't his juris-diction. He said "She's just butt hurt". That was the issue. Not terrorism. You could see it in her eyes. She had that "HA, I have a uniform and a night stick What are YOU gonna do about it?" look. She just gets off on exercising her authority. I have a ton of respect for cops and security guards. This girl however was a "bad cop". You can see it in their attitude. |

Just commenting on a sentiment that has been running rampant all across the US in the last couple of weeks. Dogwood's wasn't the first comment about a "public" government building being harassing about picture taking at the building by visitors or tourists. |

Well, I agree with your statement . It's just that terrorism IMHO was the furthest thing from that little girls mind . |
