Looking for a summer season rainsuit that packs up small, carries easily, and is quick to get on and off. Would wear it over gear that satisfies all the warmth and other protection requirements. Just looking for something of reasonable quality and easy to carry. Jack |

Disposable Tyvek coveralls? They are about 4"x3"x0.5" in the package and are ~$5. Seems impossible to get them back in the bag after use though.... |

BUELLers: What ever RAINSUIT you get, one with a HOOD is a must !!! ie: The HOOD goes over your head and then your HELMET ... OTHER WISE THE RAIN WATER GOES DOWN YOUR NECK WETTING YOUR UPER BODY ... In BUELLing LaFayette |

"Is the tyvek waterproof at highway speeds?" I put water in the sleeve, it seemed to hold without leaking - but may sweat though after long periods? (Isn't it used as house wrap to let moisture vapour through but not air - or vice versa?) I've carried them for a while, but have only used them as a wind break over a vented jacket - when I've got surprised by a sudden down turn in temperature - that's why I put the question mark after my original comment. They are cheap and pack very small... |

OK - I did a search and now see what Bomber meant: "Frogg Toggs have made a name for themselves in the fishing world with their high quality, inexpensive Tyvek rainwear." Sorry! |

Okay, thanks for the inputs so far. Those frogg togs look good but I 'm not sure they are "motorcycled" enough. I need a two piece suit. I have an Darian jacket so most of the times I would just don the pants in rain. But if I'm not wearing that, I'd need a two piece suit. But the Darian is close to year around wear up here in Maine. I did get a First Gear Mesh jacket for hot days, that's pretty neat, almost feels like I'm only wearing a tee shirt. Jack |

Frogg Toggs are the deal. I got a set about 3 weeks ago. They are not made of Tyvek; it is definitely a different material that "breathes". They are very light weight, seem to be durable, and kept out all rain in an absolute gulleywasher I was riding in (couldn't see ~20 feet in front of the bike). Highly recommended. Search around the net; you'll find many recommendations by other motorcyclists who love them. |
