I have got to do the inspection this winter for the gear (approaching 15k miles) got a "slightly" noisy lifter too. I wonder if this gear is made from one of the "hard bronzes" that would be real good, I wonder how Whitebuells' re worked set up is working and what kind of wear he is seeing (if any) |

I'm trying to firm up my plans for Bonneville and am wondering who is planning on going and for which event. Are you going to the BUB's event from Sept. 5-9 or USFRA from Sept. 14-17? My plan is to make both events, but I'd like to know who is going to be there. Glenn |

Glenn,Terry Parsley and I will be going to WOS sept 14-17.Snail is in the middle of assembling a motorcycle from a pile of parts about 6' deep and has no set date as yet.I talked to Timbo at Laguna and he and Aaron are heading to Bub's and the World Finals in oct.Bub's is too close in timing to WOS to do both for me. |

Philip, do you use netscape 8 or mozilla firefox? Those browsers will automatically save password/form info for you. You can turn it off under tools -> options, then click privacy from the resulting dialog, the click the + next to saved forms. uncheck the "Save Information I ....." |

First post... Was introduced to this site by a great Buell promoter and the major driving force behind a new BRAG group in Colorado Springs. I work at Pikes Peak Harley and we are fortunate enough to sell Buell. Most the people I meet just don't get it, but I guess you can't expect much from a lot of riders who think putting their gut on the tank means lifting it off their belt buckle first. But hey, for all of you who come in and donate to the Buell drool pool---welcome. If your ever in the springs, stop by, slap palms, drop your gear and show me your BUELLS. Tim Bell |

Since the "Sling Bag" thread has died, I've come here to thank Cameron (Clown) at Stone Mountain HD/Buell for sending one for me and my bud. I use it to carry my lunch and stuff to work and its already gotten me into many conversations with customers who spot the logo. Serves Buell's marketing purposes as well as it serves me. A nicely made piece of equipment, just like the bike. |

Our own Court is in the news http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/331949p-283661c.html (NY is keeping a database of people found taking pictures of large structures) Not from the article:
quote:Investigators are still trying to determine why so many of the photographed structures include a mysterious, naked, translucid blue motorcycle. Lead investigator Andy Checkedem explained "it handles like an Italian bike, but has a German sounding name, and sounds like a Harley. Obviously, it is part of some sort of international conspiracy. We brought in 10 of them last fall for further investigation, but they were immediately checked out of the lab and have not been returned since, though we see them flying all over manhattan." Mr. Checkedem has indicated they think this may be part of a larger plot, and has ordered another dozen classified investigatory tools he would only identify by their code name "Ulysses". "I will not rest until I have travelled the country and made sure there is no threat here" he explained. I'll be back sometime next year, with a full report!

Sad Buell related news from "Tail of the Dragon" I apologize if this has already been posted here... Bob JULY 22: BULLETIN - Tragedy Strikes the Dragon - Two riders lost their lives on the Dragon within 24 hours. David Workman age 48 of Alva, Fla, who had been riding with his 14 year old son on the back of his BMW had been reported missing on Thursday night. At 11 am Friday his son crawled to the roadway and summonded help. His father had run off the road at Rocket Corner and been killed. Another death occurred at about 1:15 pm Friday when 62 year old Jack Wolfe of Hagerstown Maryland ran off the road with his Buell just south of the Overlook. This should be a reminder to all riders how dangerous the Dragon can be. Please slow down and ride within your limits. |
