My xb12s does not have enough rear brake for riding on gravel. You need more rear brake on gravel. Any thoughts? |

I know the rear is kinda dead feeling, but it has always been enough brake to lock up the rear on asphalt. How is that not enough brake for gravel? |

Dale, have you teflon taped the fittings then bleed the rear brake really well? It got rid of the weak feel I had with my rear brake allowing me to as Blake mentioned, lock it up on pavement if I get ham footed. It is also easier to lock the rear up on gravel then it is on asphault, lower friction coefficient on gravel then asphault. |

I found the feel of the rear brake on my xb to be very similiar to my YZ400F rear brake. It is plenty powerful, yet has good feel and works well in a brake slide. You might have noticed that the Formula Extreme bikes typically have large holes in the rear rotor, presumably to take away some braking so they don't lock the rear as easily. |
