I can't remember what the names are of the cleaning supplies for the pipe. Can anyone recommend them to me? I recall they were Mother's and Eagle One, but which one of those will get the pipes gold again? |

Eagle One Mag & Aluminum polish. Mother's makes a similar product (works great on PM wheels), but the Eagle One seems to work better on the stainless headers. They will be shiny silver when you get finished, but after a ride or two will turn gold again. |

I have used a polish that turns the pipes silver again like new... and they will slowly turn to a nice even gold color again as you ride. I can't remember the brand, but I haven't really settled on one product yet. But there are some out there that will remove all the discoloration. |

I tried to get the eagle one, but must have got the wrong stuff. It was a pre-preg cloth thing of some sort in a can. It did not work particularly well. For the first polish, I used high grit sand paper (400? 1600? I forget where I started) then mothers. It worked well, went quickly, and looked great. I did it all on the bike. Future polish will probably just be the 1600 grit if it is really bad, followed by the mothers. If it is just a touch up, just the mothers. |

Reepi- that stuff is Eagle One "Never Dull". It's a big ball of cotton waste soaked in something; you pull a piece out and polish away. Never Dull is easy to get but for some reason their Mag & Alum Polish is very hard to find. My (S3) pipes were extremely oxidized. I went 320/400/600 and then polished. No sanding marks were visible. |

Every once in a blue moon I'll clean & polish the headers. When I do, I use BadS1's method. Apply Eagle One with a paper towel. The paper towel is a little abrasive & makes quick, easy work of it. Then use a terry or soft cloth to wipe it off. (Thanks again Dana for the excellent advice). |

Ok, so between the 3 which one would you recommend. Eagle one, Mothers or blue magic? |

I used stuff called "White Diamond" that I picked up at a Harley shop. Works very well. Better than Mothers Billet polish. |
