Hello Everyone, I wanted to let you all know that we will be hosting a very special Buell Day at HD / Buell of Danbury in CT on Saturday August 20th. Here is a list of everything we have scheduled so far. If you have any suggestions regarding additions to this list please let me know. Schedule of Events - Suspension setup clinic - Riding tips and techniques. - Tech Q&A - Track day info and tips. - Free BBQ - 2 to 3 hour ride to Bear Mountain and back. The events will start at approx. 9:30am. The suspension setup clinic will be an in depth discussion on understanding the proper setup and adjustment of your suspension. The riding tips and techniques will cover a variety of topics which will benefit all riders from the beginner to the experienced rider. This discussion will be led by Rod. He was a Pro Racer for many years and an avid Buell rider. The tech Q&A will be led by our lead service tech Dan and our Buell parts pro Liam. They will be available for any questions that you may have. The track day info and tips will be led by John. He has attended many track days and will be available to answer any questions you may have. After all of that we will take a break for lunch with a free BBQ. Then we will be going on a 2 to 3 hour ride from the dealership up Rt.301 (an amazing road full of twisties) so you can apply some of the things you have learned. We will then run down Rt 9D, cross the Bear Mountain bridge, and make the climb up to the top of Bear Mountain. I will take a few pictures which will be posted here and submitted to Fuell magazine. After that we will do the whole ride again in reverse back to the dealership. This will be a FREE event open to anyone interested in learning more about Buell motorcycles. All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome so bring your friends along for the ride. Here is a link to our website for a map and directions. http://www.hdofdanbury.com/map_hours.asp Here is a pic of John on his XB12R at one of his many track days.

he's already got it on american thunderbike as well. seems prudent tpo post runs on both istes. in fact, it seems logical to chime in on both. i can't believe how many riders within 20 miles of me are here on this site- both sites are outstanding, in my opinion, and both can only bolster each other's cyber-attendance. |

Just a hair too far away for a day trip, and I got plans Sunday. Gomo - what are you doing in my state? Where in VT are you headed? |

South Burlington, huh? cool. used ta spend a lotta nights in burlington and winooski, back when i was dating a lady who attended st. mikes. once, she kicked me out, so i drunkenly stumbled to another female friend's place in downtown burlington. one of her housemantes answered the door, and i explained that i wa sa friend of Susie's. she let me in and I slept it off on the couch. in the AM, another housemate came into the living room and offered me pancakes, which i chowed down with drunken gusto, and then another housemate came downstairs and we bullshat for awhile about skiing, and i talked her into blowing (steady, lads) off classes and goig to stowe with me (she had a car, i thumbed it from long island) we spent the day, then wnet to dinner, i ended up sharing her rack. the next morning another housemat made me breakfast, and went on to class. that evening we were all getting ready to go out drinking, when in comes another of the 6 roommates. one of the girls said 'oh, susie- your friend jay is here' and she looked at me and said who? i explained that i was friends with susie conklin, and they all laughed because no susie conklin lived there. there was a susie ottaviano. we all wnet out and had a blast, and i made several ear friends in that house, and stayed there often over the next two years.... sorry to ramble, but i love northern VT. |

Nice to see that so many of you are planning on joining us on the 20th. It should be a GREAT day. I made a webpage for our HOG chapter that some of you may find interesting. It covers common hand signals used in group riding. Here is a link if you would like to take a look… http://www.danburyhog.com/custompage.asp?pg=handsignals |
