well just posted looking for some new tires after puncturing one, also need to try and round up another belt. shoved a small rock through it on my 03 xb9r. from what i've seen there was supposed to be some different versions of belts and sprockets for mine. (did buell replace them? cant remember) fairly sure this was the original. options? would maybe update to new version but money is REALLY tight right now. any help would be appreciated | ||

I haven't done it yet, but according to sources here, any new belt you get for the 03 will be better than the original. There is an 04 upgrade that has a bigger belt and sprockets and tensioner and runs about $400. Call DaveS for a new 03 belt for less than $150 if I recall correctly. I think for normal human riding, the replacement '03 belt is sufficient. If you're a wheelie fiend or sumpthin, then you may want to upgrade. | ||
