Anybody have any idea what Buell is unveiling on July 23? New bikes, promos, etc.? |

We have a select few here who know this information, but don't want to say anything. From what I see and hear it sounds like a bike that you can pretty much take anywhere on/off-road. Buell wants to make everyone get excited, and ask questions....marketing at its best. Short answer....I have no idea, but someone here does. |

>>>>Buell wants to make everyone get excited Pretty much the textbook definition of "advertising".

Their advertising is working well. Even the "Buell Haters" are discussing the new bikes to the point of nausea. |

I shouldn't show you guys this but I got this from a friend of a friend who knows someone who has a relative that is related by marriage to the Buell family. Here is a sneak peek at the upcoming new machine.

Doesn't look like something that would own all the corners. |

The new bike will be a unorthodox merging of mid 20th century technology and 25th century thinking. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y220/TheRealJohnnyLunchBox/2006Enterprise.bmp At least its a twin. Parallel Impulse Engines |

Hey, I'd love to see Buell come up with a nice adventure bike. I spend all day selling import bikes, and I know the Japanese and chinese do a pretty good job moving technology forward and all... but... I'd take a Buell ADV bike over BMW, Triiumph, Suzuki, and just about everyone else. I've got my fingers crossed that this thing is gonna be what I've been looking for from Buell. But, if not, I'll probably go get a City X anyway. Plus, I'd like to see Buell send a team into the Paris/Dakar rally and win just because it'd be fun to see the USA go in and spank all the euro-folk |

They do in fact do a pretty good job of moving technology, right from our facilities in the southwest United States back to China. Seems to me we should step up security. |

"Super Motard style with high performance single." They could lop a cylinder of a Twin-Cam this time. Buell would rule Super Moto. |

I was thinking a supermotard too or a dual-sport like a Kawa KLR650. |

"I was thinking a supermotard too or a dual-sport like a Kawa KLR650." I'm kinda thinkin' we'll get both... It seems to me that Buell may go after KTM. Which makes a lot of sense seems how KTM decided to use black and orange for their race colors... That was pretty dumb. (Message edited by m1combat on July 18, 2005) |

Can't wait then. The KTM's are awesome: the 990 Superduke and the 950 Supermoto. I think that those bikes done Buellishly would greatly enhance the Buell lineup. (Message edited by blaster_s on July 18, 2005) |

If this bike is good I wonder if I'll be tempted to do a bit of a trade in. Nahhhh... I couldn't let go of my City X. (Message edited by cataract2 on July 18, 2005) |

I can't wait until Sturgis, I know they will show whatever it is, if we're lucky they will even have demos. |

Howie, are you gonna be in Sturgis? Buell had demos last year--hope they do the same this year! ~T |
