Maybe some of you guys can answer some questions for me. My 12R is leaking oil from 2 of the lines (the outside 2) where they go into the swing arm. I have tried to tighten the fittings and that didn't stop the leak. Next I took them out and put some Teflon tape on the threads. That didn't help either. My last resort is to replace the lines. My questions are:

1) Is this failure covered by the warranty? If not what do the parts cost?

2) Should the Lines and the pieces that they screw in to (The metal rods that go in to the oil tank) be replaced.

3)Has anyone else had this issue?

Is it a heavy leak, or just an oily tinge on the lines?

had the same thing, one of the oil cooler lines was leaking, due to vibration, right about the exhaust pipe...covered under warranty, and they put a metal spring around it to prevent it from touching the pipe....

As long as your bike is still under warranty it will be covered.

U4euh, Its only a drip but it makes a big mess after riding for a while. I dont like riding it because it is leaking by the rear tire.

This happened to the oil cooler lines on my 12 R
But the teflon tape worked for me. Have u put a pipe on? If so maybe the bracket for the pipe is messing with the lines, there should be a gap between the lines and the pipes mounting bracket.
