Author Message   Mike_d Posted on Friday, July 15, 2005 - 11:48 am:        Original owner of a 98 S1W ... got the bubbling decals but - worse, a whole bunch of spider web-type cracking of the paint that developed in the last 6 months. Covers about 1/2 the left side of the tank. Have never heard of this before - anyone else? Buell customer service is blowing me off, and a new tank is $800!!!!! I'm going to whine to them some more, and understand their position, but it SUCKED to own a Buell in 98-99, and would expect some more loyalty to an early supporter. Do the new tanks even fix the problem? Anyone know of an aftermarket supplier or source of used tanks, etc..? Argh!   Buellzebub Posted on Friday, July 15, 2005 - 03:09 pm:        repaint it, I fixed my tank that way 4 years ago and it still is fine, only thing different is there is no more 3d buell decal and it only cost 200 bux (CDN)to get it done
