Got a right side scoop on the way for my XB. Just wanted to know what you used for paint to get the "match" for the stock one? Use Primer first? My least favorite thing to do on anything with wheels is Paint! But it's gotta match... TIA Kaveman BTW: any other tricks for install to look out for? Should be straight forward... |

Installation is simple. It just attaches to the same points that the original plastic piece does. As far as paint goes, most people use a high temp flat black aerosol type paint, which gives a pretty good match to the plastic on the other side. The scoop comes ready primed for paint. I used Dupli Color engine paint flat black. Matches the other side. Sadly, I scratched it a bit while torqueing my break bolts. Dangit. |

If you really want them to match....paint them both. |

Install the top front bolt first, then the bottom front, then the rear. I've found that made it easier. Took a few test fits and a little filing to get it to fit the way I wanted, but it looks great. |

I used SEM Bumper Black rattle can paint. It matches perfectly and has no service problems with the heat, even in stop 'n go Dallas traffic at 100 degrees outside air temp. |
