Really bad photoshop. And how many mufflers does a bike need? |

I doubt if an adventure Buell would use the old school rear shock. |

And I think it would need more travel on the front... Why would they go back to a tube frame exactly? That suspension lever seems like it would offer about 1.1" of suspension travel at the axle... If they aren't carrying the fuel in the frame, and it doesn't look like it's a side intake or a front intake (somehow magicly moving through the now fuel tank...) where are they putting the fuel? "Blaster"??? Thank you... Drive through (no offence to you Stou...). |

No , that would not be it. no tube frame no old shock, and that is even an old shock that you are not supposed to have on your bike...see how narrow it is at the back, recalled. the new buell would be longer, more gas, etc.. |

I dunno. I kinda like it the more I look at it. Gas? Those black side panels flanking the bike could be the tanks. The muffler is up and out of the way for off-roading. It has the correct/new style belt guards. I would expect different tires though... |

Gee, seems like, for an A-T bike, you'd AVOID having the shock underneath acting as a bash-plate...Buell is smarter than that! DUH. |

I think the gas goes in the black "tank" where the muffler usually is! JT |

It's a fact that the shock underneath it's not a good idea for an Adventure bike and the front suspension also need more travel. I guest we'll have to wait another nine days |

Really bad photoshop. 'Nonny, you're obligated to make dennials It is a mix-mash and the "Blaster" name is none too appealing. Gotta say, it don't look bad though. Why would they go back to a tube frame exactly? You guys are funny. We've still got plenty of people here jones'ing for a tuber and then we knock on this? Gee, seems like, for an A-T bike, you'd AVOID having the shock underneath acting as a bash-plate...Buell is smarter than that! DUH. "Something" will always be at the bottom. Muffler... Shock... [Re]move those and we'd complain about the Primary Case... On the side, I find it curious that 'Nonny has responded several times to this particular thread. |

Big adventure tourers don't appeal to me. A light, lithe, and thin dual sport or supermoto would be awesome. That is pretty imaginative, though. |

As an aside , reading my Cycle World today, they reviewed the HD Sporty as a budget bike and one of the 'downs' to the review was " Where is the Buell Blast-based Sprint " |

Good thing I know what kind of bike I want. Now all I have to do is wait for someone to make it at an affordable price. In the interim, I have a fantastic X1 that really floats my boat. I just wish I could get a bash plate for it. |

I found on a Dutch forum mention of an XB12X I'm bettin' it'll be a Buell version of a V-strom. That'd suck. (Message edited by Rick_a on July 14, 2005) |

Indeed it would suck. Lets ride some overweight lump in the dirt. I don't think so. Then again it seems some have a different definition of what the term Dual sport really means. I can imagine Mr. Buell thinks a Dual sport is a bike that spends a majority of the time on the street while perhaps venturing down a gravel road only if nessesary. Also, the bike weighing well over 400 lbs. Sounds like my M2. My definition of a dual sport is a bike spending a majority of time on the dirt hitting big jumps and ripping up berms while being able to ride on the street to get to the next trail. Of course the bike would weigh say as much as an XR 400 which is about 247 lbs. I guess that is why I want an XR 400. Buell couldn't make a bike that light even if they filled the frame with Helium. Did not the XB series make a big departure from the tuber line? Why couldn't the 2 new models be just as radical a change? |
